QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Agree
I believe every human life is sacred and has inherent value. I support protecting innocent human life from conception until natural death. I oppose: - Elective abortion, while recognizing that laws may include exceptions as provided by state law. - Physician-assisted suicide. I support policies that: - Protect unborn children. - Support mothers, fathers, and families before and after birth. - Expand access to adoption and foster care. - Ensure compassionate, high-quality care for all.
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
I believe every human life is valuable and should be protected, from conception to natural death. I would not support elective abortion. In cases involving serious threats to the life of the mother or other extraordinary medical circumstances, decisions should be made carefully with appropriate medical care and compassion.
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.
Agree
I believe we are judged by how we treat the most vulnerable among us—the unborn, people with disabilities, the elderly, and those nearing the end of life. Every person deserves dignity, compassion, and legal protection throughout every stage of life.
The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.
Agree
Human life has value and dignity at every stage. That includes human embryos created through assisted reproductive technologies. I believe we should protect human life from purposeful destruction while also supporting families who are seeking to have children and ensuring compassionate, responsible policies for fertility treatment.
The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.
Strongly Agree
I support enforcing the Comstock Act as written. Federal law should be enforced consistently, and I believe public policy should protect unborn life while ensuring that women are treated with dignity and compassion.
ECONOMY
What is your position on the minimum wage?
I believe wages are best determined by the market, not by government mandates. Iowa should focus on creating an economy where businesses can grow, compete for workers, and provide opportunities for higher wages.
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Agree
Free enterprise and private property rights are essential to a strong economy. I believe government should protect property rights, encourage entrepreneurship, reduce unnecessary regulations, and allow individuals and businesses to succeed through hard work and innovation.
List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.
1. Audit state agencies and eliminate waste and duplication. 2. Reduce unnecessary government bureaucracy and regulations. 3. End corporate welfare and ineffective subsidies. 4. Require accountability and measurable results for taxpayer spending. 5. Use savings to lower taxes and return money to Iowans. Bottom line: Government should live within its means, focus on its core responsibilities, and treat every taxpayer dollar as if it were their own.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
Separation of church and state means government should not establish or control religion, while protecting the freedom of individuals and religious organizations to freely practice their faith. It does not mean that people of faith must leave their beliefs at the door when participating in government or public life. Our faith and moral convictions can—and should—help inform the principles and decisions we bring to government, just as others are free to be guided by their own beliefs.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Disagree
Individuals and businesses should not be forced by government to violate sincerely held moral or religious beliefs. I support protecting religious liberty and freedom of conscience while also respecting the rights of others. Government should seek to protect both individual freedom and equal treatment under the law.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
B I support making government-funded health insurance available to U.S. citizens who qualify, while preserving private healthcare options. I believe Americans should have choices in how they receive and pay for healthcare, rather than creating a government-only system.
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.
Disagree
I oppose creating government databases that track individuals based on their medical conditions. While government may need limited, properly protected health data for legitimate public-health and budgeting purposes, personal medical information should remain private and confidential. The government should not maintain databases of citizens’ illnesses simply to calculate their economic burden.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
The Chinese Communist Party poses a serious threat to the United States. We must protect our national security, critical infrastructure, intellectual property, cybersecurity, and economic interests. I support a strong national defense and reducing our dependence on China in critical industries and supply chains.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Yes. The United States’ relationship with Israel is important for our national security, regional stability, and shared commitment to democratic values. Israel is a key strategic ally in a volatile region and an important partner in combating terrorism and addressing threats from hostile nations and terrorist organizations. I support maintaining a strong U.S.-Israel relationship while ensuring American interests and security remain a priority.
IMMIGRATION
I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.
Strongly Disagree
I strongly disagree with the existence of sanctuary cities that limit cooperation with federal immigration authorities. Our communities should uphold the rule of law and work with law enforcement at every level to protect citizens and maintain public safety. Immigration laws should be enforced fairly and consistently, while treating every person with dignity and respect.
EDUCATION
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Strongly Agree
I strongly support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and returning education decisions to states, local communities, parents, and teachers. Iowa knows what works best for Iowa students. Local control allows schools to focus on academics, accountability, and preparing students for success without unnecessary federal bureaucracy and one-size-fits-all mandates.
Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.
Strongly Agree
I strongly support prohibiting foreign governments from funding American education. Education should be accountable to American parents, taxpayers, and communities—not foreign governments or foreign interests. We must protect the independence of our schools and ensure that American education serves American students and families.
VALUES
Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.
Agree
Parents have the fundamental right and responsibility to direct the upbringing, education, and well-being of their children. Government should respect parents as the primary decisionmakers for their children and should not undermine parental authority. I support policies that give parents transparency, meaningful choices, and a strong voice in their children’s education and health care.
Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.
Agree
I strongly agree that efforts to socially or medically transition children can cause serious and lasting harm and should be treated as a child-welfare concern. Children deserve protection from irreversible medical interventions and pressure to make life-altering decisions before they are mature enough to understand the consequences. Parents should have the primary role in protecting their children, with appropriate safeguards focused on the child’s long-term well-being.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Agree
I strongly agree that marriage is a sacred covenant ordained by God and, in its traditional definition, is the union of one man and one woman. I believe government should respect the foundational role of marriage and family in society and protect religious freedom and the rights of people of faith to live according to their convictions.
I support the expansion of gambling in my state.
Strongly Disagree
I disagree with expanding gambling in Iowa. Government should not encourage or expand an industry that can contribute to addiction, financial hardship, and broken families. Iowa should focus on strengthening families, creating good-paying jobs, and building a healthy economy rather than expanding gambling opportunities.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
am a Christian, and my faith in God and my values are based upon God’s Word, the Bible. I believe every person is created with dignity and worth, and that we are called to love our neighbors, serve others, seek justice, and care for those in need. My faith teaches me the importance of honesty, personal responsibility, family, freedom, and standing for what is right. I believe people of faith should be free to live out their convictions and participate fully in our communities and government.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
If we have to show an ID to fly, drive, or get alcohol, then you should have to show an ID vote.
EQUALITY
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Disagree
We have raised boys and girls. The girls are not as fast or strong as the boys.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.
Disagree
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
If by “most reliable” you mean able to produce large amounts of electricity around the clock then it would be Nuclear. U.S. nuclear plants operated at about a 92% capacity factor in 2024, substantially higher than wind (~34%) and solar (~23%). Secon
ABOUT YOU

Conservative
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No.

No.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?
To protect us from those who would do us harm from within and without.
Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.
Agree
Parents should put up safeguards and know what their children are watching or doing online.
Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.
Strongly Disagree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Criminals or bad actors should not be allowed to have guns. Law abiding citizens should be able to buy and carry a gun.
