QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
If any, under 12 weeks, under medical - hospital supervision, after having adequate medical exams and ultrasounds as well as counseling. If a minor, with explicit parental consent.
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.
Strongly Agree
A civilized and structured society cares for it's most vulnerable citizens. To incentivize hospitals, doctors, family members and individuals to end life unnecessary moves a society to view personhood and life as a problem instead of an asset. To demean life has consequences outside of those two examples and moves to a broader attitude within society.
The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.
Agree
The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.
Strongly Agree
Dobbs gave rights of these decisions back to the states. States are now able to decide these laws and they can be more closely suited to the population in those states. To allow interstate transportation of these drugs makes these decisions that states have the obligation to make somewhat null. Also, the states with laws against these drugs will expect less of the problems that come with these drugs, and may not be prepared to properly care for patients who are adversely affected by them.
ECONOMY
What is your position on the minimum wage?
Each state and jurisdictions have unique economies. These needs and markets should be the catalyst for wages. Small businesses, young people, training, etc should be taken into consideration when considering minimum wage.
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.
Unregulated, duplicative Social Programs or social programs without objective, data driven outcomes. Non-essential or duplicative government employees Government employee programs and benefits that aren't available to the private sector.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
The original meaning of the government not having a state sponsored compulsory religion was positive given the cultural history of the time of our founding. The broad application of singling out Christian religions and institutions is not what I believe the meaning was intended to be.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
To compel an individual to go against these firmly held beliefs is a violation of our first and most important right. Government policies and laws should not be used to overturn ones convictions.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. Medicare is for seniors who have worked and paid into this system. Medicaid was once used very sparingly, for a select group of individuals who had requirements to obtain & keep these benefits. Both programs were used for objectively needed medical care. The current system can be defrauded, overused and is costing taxpayers unnecessarily and unjustly. Insurance co's are benefitting greatly.
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.
Disagree
I disagree with this unless taxpayers are paying for their care. In that instance, there should be a way to quantify care and results.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
The are very closely aligned with our culture, a democratic light in the middle east and a country with great assets and resources.
IMMIGRATION
I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.
Strongly Disagree
American citizens are largely - almost always - known. We have records since birth. We are documented with educational records, any criminal involvement, and now even our online interaction. To allow a large group of folks who we have no information for, who don't have the same cultural experiences or priorities, who could be dangerous is a huge liability to our resources and law enforcement. Other countries have regulations about foreigners coming in, for the good of their economy and safety
EDUCATION
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Strongly Agree
Educational outcomes have objectively declined since this department was created.
Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.
Strongly Agree
VALUES
Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.
Strongly Agree
Parents are held responsible for maltreatment, neglect, monetary support and emotional support. To this end, parents should have not just input, but control to a large degree, over what their children are exposed and involved in. Socially, medically, educationally, etc. You cannot hold someone liable for care and support while also taking away decisions that allow proper care. When parents physically abuse their children or fail to meet basic needs, the state already has authority to step in.
Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.
Agree
In relation to the question above - parents have a responsibility to care for their children and have different views on how this is done. There is a wide range of belief systems and exposure, parental culture and viewpoints. Where this does turn into abuse or maltreatment is when parents advocate for treatment that stops or tries to reverse natural development of the kids. Countries around the world are rethinking these txs.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Agree
I support the expansion of gambling in my state.
Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I was raised in a Christian home and would consider myself a Christian in my early 20's to currently. These basic values and lifestyles lead and allow for a free society that cannot exist without a strong moral component. I believe that even the outcomes of people of faith can be cited as positive if there was an agreement on what could be considered a "positive" outcome as it used to exist. The issues, factions and disagreements within religious cultures should not be used as a reason to minimize their importance. Religious leaders and members should be held to a standard of peace and justice, and should be held accountable if they try to use a religious standard to justify harm.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
Voter ID exists in most countries as a way to secure their elections, trust and their populations. It makes sense, is not harmful, and ID requirement exists in almost every other way to receive goods or participate in society activities.
EQUALITY
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
Women have been oppressed worldwide for centuries. In America, women just in the past 5-7 decades have been able to get home loans, checking accounts, vote, etc. There is active oppression still in several countries. To allow men in women's spaces is a renewed form of oppression, appropriation & abuse. Women had to fight to equal opportunity and protection. Gay, straight, married, single women all over don't need a special designation to be a woman. They have suffered long enough.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.
Neutral
There is a degree of moral and ethical responsibility to care for our resources. However, the policy and almost religious fervor of climate change should not be used as policy producing.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
A balance of everything in consideration with current research

No
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?
To have laws that prevent and deter criminal behavior, and punish or otherwise rehabilitate unjust behavior that negatively harms and/or impacts non-offending citizens immediately in order to deter further harm and cost.
Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.
Agree
Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.
Strongly Agree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
A restriction on convicted felons and illegal or non-citizen residents.
