QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Agree

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

Agree

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

While I oppose abortion as the intentional ending of innocent life—whether for convenience or elective reasons—Christian teaching upholds the equal sanctity of both mother and unborn child, made in God’s image. In rare cases where pregnancy directly threatens the mother’s life (e.g., ectopic pregnancy, severe complications), the goal is to save life where possible, treating her condition while striving to protect the child.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Disagree

The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

Strongly Agree

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

Separation of church and state means the federal government cannot establish an official religion or favor one over others, nor prohibit free exercise (1st Amendment). It protects religious liberty while preventing state coercion in faith matters—not banning faith from public life or policy guided by moral principles.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

My answer is garnered from my family's military service. US should selectively help nations pursuing democracy and resisting tyranny—by teaching them how to build and defend their own sovereignty, as America developed its self-reliance and aided allies through training and knowledge-sharing (when requested). Intervene sparingly: prioritize formal requests, assess case-by-case on vital US interests, constitutional limits, and prudent risks—promoting independence over dependency or endless wars.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Yes, the U.S.–Israel relationship remains important. Many believers view support for Israel through the lens of biblical teachings about blessing the people and land of Israel, while also recognizing the shared values of freedom, justice, and democratic governance that bind our nations. At the same time, Christians are called to exercise discernment in a complex modern world—standing firmly for truth, and ensuring that faith is not misused to divide allies or undermine the United States.

Islamic terrorism is a threat to the United States' national security.

Strongly Agree

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

C.) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available as they currently exist. Beyond that, healthcare should primarily be provided through private or employer-based insurance to avoid expanding taxpayer burdens. If someone truly has no other option, a government-administered policy could be offered at full retail cost, functioning like a private plan rather than a taxpayer-funded entitlement.

The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Strongly Disagree

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

People who can afford to pay more taxes should do so in order to provide relief for working families.

Strongly Disagree

While higher taxes on the wealthy sound compassionate, they often stifle economic growth, reduce investment, and destroy jobs—hurting working families the most. True relief comes from broad tax cuts, deregulation, and unleashing free enterprise so everyone can thrive. Punishing success doesn't lift the poor; expanding opportunity does.

The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.

Strongly Agree

List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.

Enforce Limited Government — Devolve non-essential programs to states, eliminate duplicative agencies, end outdated mandates. Eliminate Redundancy — Consolidate overlapping programs (e.g., education, housing, environment) to cut waste without harming services. Forensic Audits — Require independent audits to detect fraud/abuse and ensure every dollar benefits Americans. Traceable NGO Grants — Mandate full tracking/transparency for federal grants to NGOs to prevent misuse and cronyism.

IMMIGRATION

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Immigration to the U.S. should be open to individuals who meet legal requirements, can contribute positively, and, at the government’s discretion, those seeking safety from known persecution or violence. A one-year probationary period, clearly communicated upon acceptance, would allow for immediate and permanent deportation of any immigrant whose actions intentionally harm the nation or Americans.

I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

Strongly Disagree

EDUCATION

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Agree

The U.S. Department of Education should remain with a limited scope. It should set clear national standards, perform accreditation to move schools toward dynamic, high-performing curricula and special needs programs, recommend educational materials to teach from, while preserving local control over how those materials are integrated and goals achieved. Schools that fail to meet performance benchmarks should face federal and public accountability to ensure students receive a quality education.

Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.

Strongly Agree

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.

Strongly Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

The U.S. Constitution guarantees the right to own firearms. Gun safety, not restrictions, should be the focus. Available gun safety courses teach responsible use and the role of firearms in protection and hunting. With proper education, guns are safe—the responsibility lies with the user. Criminals will break laws regardless of restrictions, while law-abiding citizens risk losing the ability to defend themselves and provide for their families through hunting if ownership is limited.

ABOUT YOU

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

VALUES

Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.

Strongly Agree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I have a lifetime of protection in Christ. As a Christian, I strive to live by faith, integrity, truth, and the importance of family. Even though I may not attend church regularly, Christian principles shape my decisions, guide my actions, and inspire me to work toward the greater good—alongside people who may or may not share the same beliefs. It isn’t my place to tell someone to come to Christ; faith must be chosen freely. Instead, I hope that through my actions, others will see that Christ has a plan, and that His direction is a powerful force that leads to wise and meaningful choices.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

EQUALITY

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

Oregon’s hydroelectric power reliably supplies energy across the West, while emerging technologies like human-generated piezoelectricity show promise. Wind and solar can play a supplemental role, though current infrastructure remains unreliable.
