The state shall not require citizens to follow one religious organization or require adherence to one worldview.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Individuals should not be forced to do anything against their religious belief. However, essential services (water, light, power etc) should be available to all people.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
Private healthcare has shown itself to be cost effective in the past. We’ve seen the limitations of government healthcare in other countries, taking freedom and choice from individuals, and causing long waits for some services. Any health insurance offered by the government should be the same across the board, for lawmakers, government employees and citizens, to optimize the program through lawmaker involvement. Medicare should continue for those who have paid into it.
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Local governments should not encourage or enable people to break any law. If someone disagrees with our current laws, then they should envision, promote and pass better laws. Anyone who assists others in breaking the law should be charged as accessory to the crime. We are a nation of laws, and they should be applied fairly to all people.

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Yes. Marriage is a sacred religious tradition, considered a sacrament by some Christian denominations. A government can’t redefine the religious tradition. However, since governments have gotten involved in giving spouses certain rights of inheritance, this should be available to any people who make an agreement to be dedicated to each other, without regard to sexual practice. Even two good friends who agree to support each other should have the right to define their legal relationship.

I believe that this country was formed as a Christian nation and that many good values of individual freedom and protection of individuals stem from that foundation. I believe these values should not be discarded, but treasured.

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

It is not difficult to get identification and it’s expected for many other common transactions. We should do what we can to protect the legitimacy of our elections.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

All people should be treated the same under the law and opportunity should be widely available to all people.
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Biological differences in strength and ability are the reason we have women’s sports. Protections for the safety of women are also important.

Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.

Increases in global carbon dioxide is not proven to be a disadvantage. A warmer, wetter, greener world may not be harmful to the people or animals who live here. However, increased CO2 levels have been used as an excuse for tampering with natural systems of the world. Much of that tampering is unproven, misguided and even harmful to our natural world. Protecting our world is essential and must be a priority.

Clean burning hydrogen is the fuel of the future. But it is important to pursue many different energy sources right now and to consider both the immediate and longterm costs associated with each.

There are a number of Muslim countries in the world. For those who prefer Sharia law to the American law system, they should find a system they prefer in a different country. We should not change our laws for the preference or beliefs of the many other groups who may wish it.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
None. Our constitution is clear, “the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” It would be great however for those who are passionate about gun safety to create clubs and training opportunities. They, themselves may learn some valuable things, rather than trying to force others to give up their constitutional rights.
