Abortion providers like Planned Parenthood should not receive any taxpayer dollars. It is wrong to force Americans to fund the abortion industry. I support complete defunding and redirecting resources to true women’s health centers that do not perform abortions.

I believe in the sanctity of life from conception. Abortion ends an innocent human life. We must support women facing unplanned pregnancies through counseling, resources, and adoption services.

I will defend these principles against government overreach and work to create an environment in New Mexico where businesses thrive and families prosper.

Zero-based budgeting + full agency audits to justify every dollar. Cut bureaucratic overhead and consolidate duplicative programs. Reform procurement—end no-bid contracts and cronyism. RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
It means protecting the free exercise of religion while preventing government establishment of an official faith. The First Amendment safeguards conscience and prevents tyranny, it does not require erasing God from the public square. As a chaplain and candidate, I’ll defend religious liberty for everyone while upholding our Constitution.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Forcing individuals or businesses to violate their religious or moral convictions is unconstitutional government overreach. The First Amendment protects free exercise of religion. We can prevent true discrimination without erasing conscience rights. I will always defend religious liberty in Santa Fe.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
C. Medicaid and Medicare should remain available for vulnerable populations, but we must stop creating new taxpayer-funded entitlements. True healthcare reform comes from competition, transparency, personal responsibility, and innovation—not bigger government. As a chaplain who’s worked in hospice care, I’ve seen what works: empowering patients and providers, not bureaucracy.

Natural gas, oil, and nuclear power are the most reliable sources to meet growing electricity demand. Natural gas and oil are abundant, affordable, and flexible in New Mexico. Nuclear provides clean, constant baseload power.

What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?
The goal of the criminal justice system should be public safety, accountability, and justice for victims. It must deter crime through swift, certain punishment while offering legitimate rehabilitation for those willing to change. We need to support law enforcement, end soft-on-crime policies, and put the rights of law-abiding citizens first.
Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.

The government must protect children from sexual exploitation online. Platforms should face real accountability for enabling grooming and abuse. I support stronger enforcement, parental control tools, and targeted regulations that prioritize kids’ safety without infringing on lawful adult speech. What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
No restrictions on law-abiding citizens. Public safety is best protected by enforcing existing laws against criminals and the dangerously mentally ill, improving prosecution, and securing schools. The Second Amendment guarantees the right to keep and bear arms. I strongly oppose further gun control that punishes responsible owners while failing to stop criminals. I support constitutional carry and Second Amendment rights.
