QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.
Agree
Protect the child and the mother. Federal policy should not treat elective abortion as a public benefit. Tragic exceptions—rape, incest, and the life of the mother—are real.
The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.
Neutral
Embryos are not spare parts and should not be created for research or discarded as inventory. That is not a ban on IVF. Help families have children. Stop the industrial leftover model. Donate unused embryos to other parents. Do not write a criminal ban that shuts clinics.
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
My Young Americans Healthcare Plan covers children, young adults, and expectant mothers on the TRICARE model. TRICARE does not pay for elective abortion—only rape, incest, or when a physician certifies the mother’s life is at risk. I would keep that funding rule. I would not use federal law to set a national ban and I would not use federal dollars to pay for elective abortion. States may set their own criminal law. Washington should not underwrite the procedure.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Disagree
Taxpayers should not fund elective abortion. Title X and other grants should go to clinics that provide family planning and women’s health care without performing elective abortions.
The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.
Disagree
Congress should use the commerce power so abortion drugs are not mailed in violation of state law or basic safety rules—no shipments to minors, past the Hyde/TRICARE line, or into a state that has banned the procedure. Do not use an 1873 obscenity statute as a stand-in for legislation. Ordinary mail-order medicine is not collateral damage.
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Agree
That is how families build wealth. It is not a license for cartels or a housing market that prices working people out. Property means a home and a business you can own. Enterprise means competition.
People who can afford to pay more taxes should do so in order to provide relief for working families.
Neutral
Working families need relief. Raising rates on people who already pay more is not the same as delivering it. Tax waste first. Then talk about rates.
The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.
Agree
Debt is a security problem. Cut spending that does not buy readiness, solvency, or a working family a fair shot.
List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.
1) Healthcare fraud, improper payments, and PBM/hospital vertical integration—use a TRICARE-style contractor model and make carriers compete for Medicaid and commercial book. 2) Defense and federal-contractor waste I have spent a career unwinding. 3) Benefits and services paid to people who are not legally here. And, 4) Empty offices, failed IT, and programs that cannot show a result.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Disagree
As an Army chaplain I serve people of every faith and of none. We accommodate conscience; we do not order a priest or rabbi to perform a rite that violates his tradition. The state may not force a person or business to create speech or take part in an act that violates sincere belief. Find another provider.
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
The original meaning of the Establishment and Free Exercise Clauses. Government must not establish a church or an official ideology. Faith and competing ideas belong to the people and should hold the state to its limited powers. The same Constitution requires the government to protect free exercise—for every faith and for none.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
B. Targeted TRICARE model for children, young adults, and expectant mothers. TRICARE contractors bid for state Medicaid contracts and compete with private insurers. Medicare, Medicaid, and private coverage remain. Not single payer.
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.
Disagree
Congress does not need a roster of sick Americans. McCarran-Ferguson already allows pooled historical loss data—aggregated claims, not a named federal file. Measure cost from de-identified TRICARE, Medicare, and Medicaid data. Share losses, not patients.
NATIONAL SECURITY
With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.
C, with one correction. A is a blank check. D is a fantasy. B is nation-building. Focus on sovereignty, industry, borders, and readiness. Defend interests we can name. Do not wait until danger is “imminent.” Peace through strength is not isolation and it is not a crusade.
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
Treat the CCP as a military, cyber, IP, and industrial rival—not a normal trading partner.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Yes. Capable ally, shared intelligence, missile defense, and technology we use. Interest is the test—not a blank check and not a veto over American strategy.
Islamic terrorism is a threat to the United States' national security.
Agree
Jihadist networks have killed Americans and still plot against aviation, bases, and cities. That is not a slur on peaceful Muslims. Borders, watchlists, no sanctuary. Free exercise for worship; no quarter for terrorism.
IMMIGRATION
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
People who come legally, can support themselves, and do not threaten the country. Sovereignty, not ancestry. My family used the front door. Prioritize vetted skills, immediate family of citizens in numbers housing can absorb, and genuine refugees—not a coached asylum script. No terrorists, no serious criminal records, no skip-court.
I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.
Disagree
Cities do not get to nullify federal immigration law.
EDUCATION
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Agree
The headquarters and bureaucracy spend, not the investment in kids. Block-grant Title I and disability funds to states. Keep civil-rights statutes as law, not a curriculum office. Move student aid to a slim finance shop, not a national school board.
Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.
Strongly Agree
Especially K–12 and any dollar that buys curriculum, institutes, or silence. Adversarial states: ban. All others: public contracts or no check.
VALUES
Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.
Agree
A minor cannot consent to an irreversible medical path. Schools should not socially transition a child or hide it from parents. Treat distress as a mental-health and family matter, not a state-sponsored identity project.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Agree
That is the definition I hold as a Christian and a chaplain. Government did not invent it. Churches and families must be free to live it. Congress can recognize a domestic union—two adults who share a household—and give that union the same tax, inheritance, and survivor benefits as a civil marriage. Do not force a church to perform or bless what it does not believe. Do not treat the older definition as hate.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Christian and an Army chaplain. Every person bears the image of God. Faith is conscience, not a department of government. I have served Soldiers of every faith and of none. Service before self, family first, and the Constitution as sworn.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Disagree
A ballot is a right and a responsibility. Show the same ID you use to fly or cash a check.
EQUALITY
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Agree
Women’s sports and private spaces are for women. I am a girl dad. Fairness is not optional.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Nuclear and natural gas on a modern grid—power that runs when the wind dies and the sun drops. Solar and geothermal help a household (we use both). They do not, by themselves, cover data centers and factories, which need to cover their consumption.
ABOUT YOU
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Lean Conservative
Limited government, free enterprise that actually competes, protection of life and conscience, America First without a crusade.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.
Strongly Agree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
We already ban prohibited persons. Pennsylvania already runs PICS on dealer sales and on handguns. Keep that. Apply the same check so a private rifle sale is not a back door. Prosecute straw buyers and violent offenders. I will not ban rifles from law-abiding owners, build a registry, or pretend a new restriction is a substitute for enforcement.
