I believe that low and no-cost abortion services should be available to those in need and covered by local, state and/or federal dollars as need to ensure safety and accessibility

Elective abortions should be allowed in any and circumstances that a woman determines is necessary, but always in the case of rape/incest, or medical emergency, regardless of the mother's age or the term of the pregnancy

Legal protections should not be provided to a few and not to all. Regardless of ethnicity, religious beliefs, income, etc., human beings should be protected from the moment they enter the world at birth until their lives end, naturally or otherwise

I believe that embryos should be protected by parental rights. If parents make a conscious decision to destroy their embryos, it should be their right to do so. It may seem inhumane, but just as in the right to abort a pregnancy, the choice and the right are with the parents.

Every woman should be able to terminate a pregnancy in the safest means possible whether it is induced by drugs or surgically. Pregnancy termination should not be criminalized.

I believe that there should be a base wage that ensures that workers are earning above poverty level wages, however the wage should also allow them to thrive and not just survive.

Separation of church and state means that church is not the focus in government and government is not the focus in the church. Religious beliefs do not influence local, state or federal level governance and politics do not influence church decisions.

I believe that any business that is financed by government loans or grants should be required to provide services to any client with the ability to pay regardless of the vendor's morals or religious beliefs. If the vendor violates this expectation, they get a warning with the first offense, a fine with the second offence and on the third offence, all loans become due and grants must be repaid within 365 days. A vendor that is self-funding can determine the rules for their business.

I believe in the promise of guaranteed, fully funded government provided healthcare for all with options for private healthcare. Those that are able to pay will do so according to their income/ability to pay

If the government is to have access to individual's medical records, the government should be providing free or low-cost healthcare to alleviate the burden of treatment. If this is not the case, the government should absolutely not maintain a database with personal health information.

The Chinese Communist Party could pose a threat to the US when at war or when global disagreements occur. Fortunately, although quite competitive, the current relationship between the US the Chinese Communist Party is one mutual benefit. Keeping this in mind and understanding the volatility of global relationships and the mentality of the current president of the US, the US should remain prepared for conflict.

The United States' relationship with Israel is complex. Importance is determined by those benefiting from it and those that are negatively impacted by it. Those that question the United States' investment in Israel's military and the impact on global relations, such as peace negotiations with Palestine and addressing human right concerns in the region, will not find it important. For those benefiting from Israeli intelligence efforts against US enemies will find the relationship important.

I agree with the concept of sanctuary cities, because in these times they are needed. However, if the federal government would stop targeting undocumented people and make it easier and less cost prohibitive to gain citizenship, sanctuary cities would be unnecessary. The state should enact legislation that can be enforced by local governments across legislative districts across the state to provide continuity and an overall statewide protection.

I believe that parents should be treated as partners. The department of education centralized data and oversees accountability in reporting. Not having a federal compliance office for each state will have detrimental, long-term effects on equity, the quality of education and student academic outcomes. Although I do not agree with a one-sized fixed all approach to student success, I do believe that elimination of the federal department of education reduces equity and access

Although foreign investment in American education could lend itself to more significant cultural exchange, the ability to protect cultural and educational integrity is vital to sustaining transparency and equity in education

Government should recognize the rights of parents in directing their child(ren)'s health and education, however no individual parent's rights should infringe upon or cause harm to another child or children. In cases of such harm or the potential of harm, it is the governments' responsibility to step in and make decisions.

If a child identifies as the gender of the opposite sex, the child should be counseled by a professional to determine why and provide the child with support to safely explore their belief and gain an understanding of their identity. I don't believe that children should physically transition until adulthood which requires them to have a clear understanding of their future.

Love is love and people that are in love and desire to spend their lives together in a union should be able to do so. No government should have the right to discriminate.

I support gambling in my state. My city is known for having card clubs, which have been a significant source of revenue. As the city is phasing the clubs out and securing alternate forms of revenue, the city is adjusting. However, as long as people that gamble do so safely and do not cause themselves financial distress, they should be able to endulge.

I identify as a Christian and believe that all people regardless of their ethnicity, gender identification or religious beliefs are worthy of respect and equal treatment.

Voters that are duly registered to vote in their state should only provide their name and address to obtain a ballot in their state. A photo identification should not be required to vote. Requiring a photo identification lends itself to voter suppression and discrimination when the voter is not in possession of one.

Reparations should be given to any group of people that have experienced loss of opportunity and economic stability due to government enforced laws that historically marginalized said groups. Reparations have been paid to groups based on religion, they make negatively impacted groups whole and level the playing field of opportunity.

Biological males that identify as males should absolutely not participate in women's sports or occupy female only spaces such as restrooms. However, a biological male that is transitioning to female, should after undergoing gender re-assignment and hormonal transition can be allowed in female only space and participate in women's sports

We must take climate change seriously and make immediate adjustments to mitigate exacerbating the global threat. Political action should be in the form of goals setting in reducing carbon emissions, sanctions on polluters, legislation and policy to control behavior with consequences.

There is no one energy source that will adequately meet the growing demand for electricity other than solar. However, wind, solar and hydro are viable options that should be promoted and utilized before we are in dire need.
