I do not believe taxpayer dollars should fund abortion services. At the same time, women must continue to have access to essential healthcare, including cancer screenings, prenatal care, contraception and preventive services. Public funding should be directed to qualified providers that deliver these services without using taxpayer resources for abortions. My position seeks to respect both the value of human life and the healthcare needs of women and families.

I believe any infant born alive, regardless of the circumstances surrounding the birth, deserves appropriate medical care, compassion and the full protection of the law. For that reason, I support requiring healthcare providers to provide the same medically appropriate treatment they would offer any other infant born at the same stage of development. This position is rooted in the fundamental value and dignity of every human life.

I support Indiana's current law, which allows abortion in cases of rape or incest (up to 10 weeks), a lethal fetal anomaly (up to 20 weeks), or when necessary to prevent serious, irreversible harm to the mother's health, at any stage of pregnancy. Outside of those circumstances, I believe in protecting life. And I think the real work happens before anyone gets to that decision: making sure women facing an unplanned pregnancy have the support, resources, and information they need, so ending a pregnancy doesn't feel like the only option.

Separation of church and state protects government from controlling religion, not people of faith from public life. I believe in religious freedom for everyone: government shouldn't establish a religion, but it also shouldn't push faith out of the public square or penalize people for living out their beliefs.

The cost and performance of healthcare is brutal on Hoosiers, especially entrepreneurs, employers, and the self-employed. I'd start by targeting waste, fraud, and abuse, and pushing real accountability for insurers, not more red tape. Indiana doesn't need to reinvent the wheel here: other states are already doing this better, and I want to study what's working there, get educated on real solutions, and bring practical fixes home that actually lower costs and improve care for Hoosiers.

I support the constitutional rights of law-abiding gun owners while recognizing our responsibility to protect the public. Firearms should remain out of the hands of violent felons, domestic abusers, and individuals who have been legally determined to pose a serious danger to themselves or others. We should consistently enforce existing laws, conduct reliable background checks, preserve due process and promote responsible ownership and secure firearm storage.
