QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Choose not to answer

I need to know the context of this question. My district 750,000 people. The point at which human life begins is interpreted differently across scientific, legal, and ethical perspectives. Pro-life viewpoints hold that life begins at fertilization, when a unique human organism is formed. In contrast, legal frameworks often focus on viability, the ability to survive outside the womb or on birth. Are you asking in context of abortion or what? Women's health + rights are important.

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

Choose not to answer

I believe we should approach this issue with respect for human life and dignity, while also considering the real-world needs of families, medical progress, and individual choice. Any policy in this area must balance ethical concerns with science and personal freedoms

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

Rape, sex trafficking, incest, age consideration eg if a minor, life safety and health of the mother.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

Women's reproductive freedom is important. Clinics do so much even for day to day women's health, regardless of abortion.

The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

Disagree

Americans and my 750,000 constituents have deeply held views on this issue. The question isn’t just about enforcing an old law, but how we ensure our policies reflect current medical science, constitutional protections, and respect for individual freedom. That requires careful, responsible leadership

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

At the same time, a strong economic system also requires accountability, fair competition, and access to opportunity. Free enterprise works best when markets are open, transparent, and not dominated by a few powerful interests. Protecting property rights should go hand in hand with ensuring that small businesses can compete, workers are treated fairly, and communities benefit from economic growth.

People who can afford to pay more taxes should do so in order to provide relief for working families.

Agree

A wealth tax can work.

The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.

Agree

Yes, reducing the national debt requires addressing government spending, but it is not just about cuts. It is about prioritizing what works, eliminating waste, and investing in areas that strengthen the economy like infrastructure, jobs, and innovation. A stronger economy ultimately helps bring the debt down in a sustainable way.

List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.

Accountability for missing funds across major budgets Independent third-party audits and real oversight Eliminate duplication across agencies Modernize government, secure Social Security, and invest in climate resilience Fix housing bottlenecks so funding actually delivers homes Secure and safeguard disaster relief funds Move to Universal and Supplmental Private insurance(by choice) healthcare system

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Agree

In essential areas such as healthcare, public safety, security, and access to food, services should be mandatory and available to everyone, regardless of personal beliefs. No one should be denied critical care or basic needs.

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

To me, separation of church and state means that government must remain neutral on religion, neither favoring nor discriminating against any faith or belief. It protects both freedom of religion and freedom from government-imposed religion. People should be free to practice their beliefs, but public policy must serve everyone equally, regardless of faith.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

B): Frankly, people need affordable universal healthcare and they need it now. I support a government-funded option available to anyone who wants it, and private coverage from people who like what they have. This is the practical path. It expands access, brings down costs through competition, and avoids blowing up the system overnight. We should be focused on lowering premiums, cutting drug prices, and making sure no one is left without care

The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Strongly Disagree

That kind of question is this? Everyone deserves healthcare

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

B / C / D (with clear limits) Frankly, the United States has been too involved in foreign conflicts for too long. We cannot be the world’s police, and endless intervention has cost lives, resources, and focus at home. That said, I’m not isolationist. We should selectively support allies and democratic movements (B) when it is clearly in our national interest and when it can be done responsibly not through open-ended wars.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Agree

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Yes. The United States’ relationship with Israel is important. It’s a key ally in a very tough region, and the partnership on security, intelligence, and technology matters to our national interest. But let me be clear support is not a blank check. We should stand by our allies, but we also need accountability and a real push toward stability and peace. Endless conflict helps no one. My approach is simple: strong alliances, clear expectations, and accountability when needed

Islamic terrorism is a threat to the United States' national security.

Agree

Terrorism is a real threat to the United States’ national security, and we have to take it seriously. Groups that use violence against civilians, whether motivated by extremist ideology or anything else must be confronted and stopped. But I’m also very clear on this: we should never paint entire communities or religions with a broad brush. Millions of peaceful, law-abiding people practice Islam in the United States and around the world. Our focus must stay on violent extremism, not on faith.

IMMIGRATION

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Anyone who is law-abiding and willing to follow the rules should have a fair opportunity to immigrate to the United States. That means people who can be properly identified through valid passports or documentation from their home country, and who meet the visa requirements that are in place. We need a system that is secure, orderly, and fair. People should know who they are, follow the legal process, and contribute. At the same time, we should make that process more efficient & realistic

I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

Disagree

Sanctuary cities as they currently operate are not fully working. We need a system that is consistent, enforceable, and delivers real results. At the same time, we must be realistic and humane. Law-abiding people who contribute should have a clear legal pathway if they can provide valid documentation and pass background checks. This is about fixing what’s broke, stronger coordination, clear standards, and new visa pathways that actually reflect today’s workforce and economy.

EDUCATION

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Neutral

It has already been done.

Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.

Strongly Agree

America is a sovereign nation. America is a sovereign nation, which means we have the right and responsibility to make our own decisions, enforce our laws, and protect our borders while upholding our Constitution and values

VALUES

Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.

Neutral

Depends on the situation.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Disagree

Well if you seperate of Church and state they do..which America does. So yes the government can alter the definition and support gay marriage. And I do!

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe there is good in all major religions, grounded in shared values like don't steal, treating others as you would want to be treated with honesty, and respect. I was raised Anglican (Episcopalian), and I also have great respect for Buddhism and other faith traditions. My approach is inclusive, I respect all religions and belief systems, and I am committed to serving everyone in my community, regardless of faith.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Neutral

Voting is a fundamental right. We should make it easier, not harder, for eligible citizens to vote, while maintaining safeguards to protect the integrity of our elections. Most people who are legally eligible already have access to photo ID, but there should also be secure alternative ways to verify identity so no one is excluded and the system remains fair and trusted.

EQUALITY

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

Solar power, hydro power, geo thermal and safe nuclear energy

ABOUT YOU

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

NO

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

NO

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Moderate

I’m a moderate with strong progressive values. I believe in practical solutions that expand opportunity, protect rights, and actually get results.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.

Strongly Agree

yes Western countries overseas have successsfully banned social media for minors under 15 and the government needs to enforce stricter rules to providers

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

We need common-sense gun safety laws that protect the public while respecting responsible gun ownership. That means universal background checks, training , closing loopholes, and keeping firearms out of the hands of people who pose a real risk to themselves or others. We should also support red flag laws with due process, safe storage requirements, and stronger enforcement of existing laws. At the same time, law-abiding citizens have a right to own firearms, and that should be respected.
