QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
To save the life of a mother.
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.
Strongly Agree
The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.
Strongly Agree
The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.
Strongly Agree
ECONOMY
What is your position on the minimum wage?
Congress has no constitutional authority to set wages. Min wage laws price low-skilled workers out of jobs, making their true minimum wage zero. Wages should be set by voluntary agreements.
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.
1) To eliminate government waste are reforming healthcare (which is nearly 30% of Michigan’s budget) by increasing transparency, cutting regulations, and promoting competition to lower costs. 2) Conduct spending audits to eliminate inefficient programs, pursue responsible tax reform to address unpredictable property tax increases 3) Reduce burdensome regulations such as prevailing wage, re-institute right to work, to grow jobs and the economy
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
Congress shall make no law establishing an official religion or prohibiting the free exercise of religion. I believe the Founders intended to prevent a national church (like England’s) while allowing robust religious expression in the public square, schools, and government. Today, this principle is often misused to push religion out of public view and discriminate against people of faith. True separation protects the free exercise of religion, not the exclusion of it.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
I support option C. Medicare and Medicaid should remain for those who rely on them, but we must block any new taxpayer-funded healthcare programs. Instead, I will focus on reforming the current system by increasing competition, cutting regulations, and reducing waste to lower costs for all Michigan families.
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.
Strongly Disagree
This proposal represents dangerous government overreach into personal medical privacy and violates the spirit of individual liberty protected by the Constitution. Once created, such a database would inevitably lead to pressure for healthcare rationing, discrimination, or centralized control over treatment decisions. Medical information is deeply private and should remain between patients and doctors, not in the hands of government bureaucrats.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Yes. Israel is America’s most reliable ally in the Middle East, providing valuable intelligence, advanced military technology, and a strong democratic partner in a dangerous region. This advances U.S. national security interests. At the same time, our support should always follow an America First approach based on mutual benefit, fiscal responsibility, and avoiding unnecessary entanglements or blank check commitments. A strong but prudent partnership with Israel strengthens America.
IMMIGRATION
I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.
Strongly Disagree
All cities and states must follow federal immigration law. Sanctuary policies that shield undocumented persons from enforcement undermine the rule of law, encourage illegal immigration, and endanger public safety. I support enforcing our nation’s immigration laws equally and fairly for everyone.
EDUCATION
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Agree
The federal Department of Education has no constitutional authority, has ballooned into a wasteful bureaucracy, and has failed to improve student outcomes despite spending trillions. Education decisions should be made closest to the parents and communities, not by unelected bureaucrats in Washington. Local control leads to better accountability, more innovation, and policies that actually work for Michigan families.
Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.
Agree
VALUES
Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.
Strongly Agree
As a homeschool mom, I believe parents have the fundamental right and duty to direct their child’s education and healthcare decisions. Government should recognize and protect this natural parental authority, not undermine it through mandates, overreach, or bureaucratic interference. I will always defend parental rights and local control over education and medical choices.
Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.
Strongly Agree
Attempts to physically transition a child (through hormones or surgery) or socially transition them (by encouraging a new name, pronouns, or identity) both constitute child abuse. Children lack the maturity to make irreversible, life-altering decisions about their bodies, and we now have growing evidence of regret, infertility, and long-term health damage. Social transition is not harmless, it often leads to medicalization and locks kids into a path of irreversible harm
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Agree
I believe biblically and personally that marriage should be between a man and a woman. However, as a constitutionalist, I recognize that the government should not establish religion or force Christian beliefs on others. The proper role of government is to protect religious liberty and freedom of conscience for everyone. This means churches & individuals must remain free to define and practice marriage according to their beliefs without government penalty or coercion even if we disagree with it.
I support the expansion of gambling in my state.
Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a broken person relying on Jesus' sacrifice on the cross to redeem me. I want to follow his call in my life because nothing else matters if I am not walking within his plan. Psalm 89:14 says, “Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne.” Our nation increasingly seems to lack both, and I believe Christians are called not to stay silent, but to speak truth boldly, defend what is right, and stand up for those who have no voice. I believe leadership should be humble, honest, and willing to tell the truth even when it’s unpopular. I care deeply about protecting children and families, defending individual freedoms, and ensuring that people who work hard have the opportunity to build stable and meaningful lives.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
EQUALITY
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.
Strongly Disagree
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Nuclear power is the most reliable energy source to meet growing electricity demand. Nuclear plants operate at a ~92-93% capacity factor, producing consistent, dispatchable baseload power 24/7 regardless of weather.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
My faith is very important to me and I take the Bible seriously. As a constitutional conservative, I do not believe government should enforce every biblical moral standard on non-believers as that path often leads to theocracy. My calling in politics is to uphold the Constitution and protect religious liberty for everyone. I want to keep government limited so the Church can be the Church and preach the gospel and individuals can follow God freely.
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?
The main goal of the criminal justice system should be to protect law-abiding citizens. It must prioritize public safety by swiftly punishing criminals, deterring crime, and keeping dangerous offenders off the streets. While rehabilitation can play a limited role for non-violent offenders, justice and victim protection come first. The system should be tough on crime, respect due process, and put victims before criminals.
Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.
Strongly Agree
Parents are ultimately responsible for protecting their children, but government has a clear duty to help safeguard kids from sexual exploitation online. This includes aggressively prosecuting predators, targeting child sexual abuse material, and holding Big Tech accountable for preventing explicit content from reaching minors. Protecting children from grooming and pornography is a legitimate role of government.
Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.
Strongly Agree
We have freedom of religion in the U.S., yet the Constitution cannot grant religious liberty to practices that are antithetical to the Constitution itself. Sharia directly conflicts with core American principles such as equal protection under the law, freedom of speech, religious liberty for all (including the right to leave a religion), and women’s rights. We have one Constitution and one set of laws that apply equally to everyone. No religious legal system can supercede it.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Law-abiding gun owners are not the problem: criminals are. I support enforcement of existing laws that do not infringe on the right to bear arms for law abiding citizens. Violent Criminals should not own firearms. The focus must remain on prosecuting criminals and protecting the rights of responsible citizens, not creating more restrictions that only disarm the innocent.
