QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Strongly Agree

My Christian faith is what I look to in these types of issues.

What role should the school serve in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy?

A school's primary function should be for the educational well being of all children. If it's possible, the school school should help out with accommodations to provide educational help during pregnancy.

ECONOMY

Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.

Strongly Agree

What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?

This is a complex question as there are many options to consider and even harder to answer with limited space. I will say that it was a mistake for the federal government get into the business of student loans. Many of the Universities and colleges have large endowments and could easily take on the responsibility of student loans and that they should share risk of students receiving an education that leads to a viable career.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

With regard to public schools, what does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

This phrase has been badly misinterpreted. Jefferson wrote this to the Baptist church in Connecticut where there was a possibility of state church to be setup by the state government and Jefferson was saying that that couldn't happen. My hope is that someday the Supreme Court rulings of 1962 and 63 will be revisited as I'm sure that Jefferson didn't want Christian teachings to be band from schools.

IMMIGRATION

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) enhances the safety and security of communities by identifying and detaining illegal aliens.

Agree

It should be noted here that the current leadership has specifically stated that agents are not deployed until the illegal alien's crimes (rape, murder, human trafficking) have been identified and investigated and a warrant has been issued.

EDUCATION

Abortion and gender-affirming providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.

Strongly Disagree

I have said earlier that schools mission is to educate. These issues should be family discussions with individual they deem to be suited to guide them.

Consequences for bad behavior create a safe and orderly environment, which is essential for student learning.

Strongly Agree

Thomas Sowell's book on Charter schools attributes the success of these school to their ability to maintain high levels of discipline.

Educators should give students a thorough education in America's founding documents and cultivate American patriotism.

Strongly Agree

There are many areas of American history that are filled with inaccuracies and a better understanding of history can lead to a better understanding of what it means to be a citizen of the USA.

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

If you support the teaching of Sex Ed, please answer the following question: Sexual education should include these topics (list all that apply and add your own, if needed) -- abortion methods and side effects; abstinence; consent; contraceptive methods; human anatomy/the reproductive system; physical and emotional health outcomes; sex acts and pleasures of sex; sexual orientation and gender identity; stages of pregnancy and fetal development

I think this is an area that needs a major overhaul. Dr. Miriam Grossman wrote a book titled "You're Teaching My Child What". This book says it all with regard to the massive mistakes being made in dealing with this subject and I would agree with her assessment.

Please list in order the following priorities in relation to the role of a K-12 public school (omitting any that do not apply): American History, Art & Music, Civics, Critical Race Theory, Foreign Language, Gender Identity, Information Technology, Language Arts, Mathematics, Personal Finances, Physical Fitness, Political Activism, Science, Sexuality, Social Emotional Learning, Vocational Learning

Mathematics, Language Arts, American /World History, Civics, Sciences, Music & Art, Foreign Language, Physical Fitness, IT, Personal Finances, Vocational Learning

Public schools should prioritize academic achievement and building character necessary to preserve American traditions and self-government.

Agree

While schools can help with character building and thus teachers with high moral character are needed, in the end, I believe it's the family that has the biggest impact on character.

School choice creates competition, and that competition will push public schools to improve their educational systems.

Strongly Agree

When the free market system is allowed to work with little government interference then yes. I believe that this brings to pass health competition.

VALUES

Biological males should be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I'm Christian. When I was 19 I was introduced to a biblical research ministry. Through them I learned that the bible was logical and that started me down the road to my current yet still evolving understanding of God's word and what my place is in this existence. It was christian values that gave our country the Declaration of Independence, the US Constitution, rule of law, due process, freedom of speech and religion, Inalienable rights. This nation has failed at these issues at times but I believe that it's God's forgiveness to those of whom seek redemption that brings us back on coarse.

Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.

Strongly Agree

I support the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., that people should be judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin.

Agree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Choose not to answer

I don't agree with how this question is phased.

Mental health conditions such as anorexia and gender dysphoria need to be treated, not affirmed.

Strongly Agree

School library books that have literary value, as determined by experts, should be exempt from obscenity laws.

Choose not to answer

I don't agree with how this question is phased.
