QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
Under circumstances in which the mother's life is in danger.
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.
Strongly Agree
The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.
Strongly Agree
The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.
Agree
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
This metaphor originally raised by President Thomas Jefferson has been misconstrued to restrict public expression of religious belief. For me, the originalist meaning of Jefferson's "wall of separation" was intended to protect religious freedom and prevent government interference in religious practices.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Disagree
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) reflects the greatest challenge to United States power and economic way of life in the 21st century. The CCP seeks to replace the U.S. as the dominant world economic and military power in the world and is aggressively expanding its military capabilities with intentions to build a blue water Navy and global reaction force.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Yes, the United States economic, monetary system, trade and sea lines of communication are upheld through relationships and military partnerships worldwide. Israel and the United States reflect one such relationship in the Middle East that counter-balances hostile regimes and also reflect a unique and advantageous partnership in technological innovation.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
C. Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary.
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.
Disagree
ECONOMY
What is your position on the minimum wage?
Minimum wage is a matter for individual states to decide. Businesses determine the salary and benefits structures for employees.
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Agree
List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.
1.) Detect, investigate, criminally refer and stop business government benefits fraud in day care, home health & trucker services 2.) Fully ensure eligibility qualification and verification for all persons registering to vote and casting ballots 3.) Conduct independent 3rd-party security assessments and audits for government programs and campaign finance reports
IMMIGRATION
I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.
Strongly Disagree
Sanctuary cities undermines the constitutional framework centered on the system of federalist checks and balances that divides power among the three branches of the federal government and state governments. The priority and protection of undocumented non-citizens over American citizens jeopardizes rule of law and endangers safety and the economic wellbeing of American citizens and workers.
EDUCATION
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Strongly Agree
Nowhere in the U.S. Constitution is Education declared as a right bestowed by government, let alone federal government to oversee and deliver. The matter of education is a local matter and the degree in which it is overseen should rise no higher than the state level.
Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.
Strongly Agree
Yes, America's education system is already facing issues with curriculum that is not preparing students for competitive job placement with needed skills sets. Additionally, ideological teaching known as indoctrination is a systemic issue across America's school systems leading to societal divide, civil unrest and anti-American attitudes and beliefs.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?
Equal protection under the law of all persons and sufficient deterrence to prevent future crimes through fear of consequence. Also rehabilitating all offenders that can be reintegrated as law abiding citizens through forms of restoration to repair harm to victims and communities.
Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.
Agree
Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.
Strongly Agree
Sharia law is not compatible with the U.S. constitution framed around the protection by government of individual liberties & rights under natural law. In parts of the world, Islam is practiced as a form of government, not protection of individual rights. I've lived in the Middle East and seen how Christians are persecuted & not afforded the same rights as practicing Muslims of faith are afforded in Christian-dominant countries.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
"The right to bear arms shall not be infringed." - U.S. Constitution (2nd Amendment). If a person is convicted of a violent crime, that is cause to remove their right to own a firearm imposing a near permanent prohibition. Restoration of firearm for violent crime offenders should be extremely limited and rare.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No
VALUES
Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.
Strongly Agree
The principle of informed consent and conscience were massively violated by public health administrators and government officials during the COVID declared pandemic. To this day the relationship between patient-doctor is broken and parents are being discriminated by Pediatric practices if they choose to not follow the CDC immunization schedule being let go by the medical practice. These are but a few of the problems resulting from regulatory capture of the 3-letter agencies in Washington.
Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.
Strongly Agree
The practice of performing gender transition surgeries on minors and elective hormonal treatment to transition a minor constitutes child abuse should come with liability for medical practioners. If someone wishes to transition their body and undergo medical treatment they can do so as a legal age adult.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Agree
I support the expansion of gambling in my state.
Agree
Gambling is a vice, but it is a choice and recreation that people make. If gambling is illegal, it will not stop, it simply will not be taxed.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe that life is sacred in all phases and all people are created individually and equally in the image of God. We all have a conscience and the ability to form an understanding of that conscience by developing discernment which is the determination of right from wrong. Being given authority and well-being over the lives of others places additional responsibility to act justly and selflessly placing needs of others at times above our wants and needs. Love is sacrifice and that includes helping those most in need. We will meet our judgment someday in the afterlife and a determination will be made on our eternal outcome based on the conduct of our lives in this world and the way we lived our lives.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
The U.S. has one of the laxest voting eligibility verification procedures in the world. The inability to determine eligibility at time of voter registration and vote casting across a number of states remains one of the greatest risks and vulnerability to honest, accurate and fair elections. I've proposed and written legislation to require a copy of state issued-photo ID for all methods of ballot casting and review at time of voter registration.
EQUALITY
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.
Strongly Disagree
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Natural Gas
