QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
It is never the right of any individual or group of individuals to purposefully take the life of an innocent human being.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.
Strongly Agree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.
Yes
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
The state should not dictate how the church functions or what the church believes. Citizens should never be forced to pay taxes in support of a church or be forced to be a member of a church in order to be able to vote or have influence in government. Separation of church and state was never meant to keep Christian religion out of government or the public sphere. Instead, it was a protection from any one denomination being the state church and other religious groups being persecuted as a result.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Strongly Agree
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
Strongly Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
I support President Trump's healthcare plan called the Great Healthcare Plan. This plan involves lowering drug prices to be commensurate with prices charged in other countries, redirecting federal subsidies to health savings accounts for individuals rather than to insurance companies, price transparency of insurance companies, hospitals, and other healthcare providers, cost sharing reduction programs, and holding insurance companies accountable in claim denials, etc.
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Strongly Disagree
In America, anyone who is willing to work hard and is not hindered by a significant disability is able to earn a livable income.
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
In Indiana, a balanced budget has been the norm under Republican leadership now for over a decade. I will work to ensure that this fiscal responsibility continues, while finding additional ways to further government efficiency and lessen spending.
IMMIGRATION
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Agree
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Strongly Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Individuals should be allowed to enter the U.S., who have a clean criminal record from their native country and demonstrate a love for the U.S. and a desire to respectfully assimilate into traditional, historic U.S. culture.
2ND AMENDMENT
Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
Yes
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
I favor very little restrictions on gun ownership. Restrictions should center around minors owning guns in some cases or those convicted of certain felonies.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Strongly Disagree
In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
No bail for violent offenders Property tax reform Protecting traditional education, as opposed to politically motivated ideologies
JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY
I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.
Strongly Disagree

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
I hold a bachelor's degree, a master's degree, and a PhD. Years of education in these various degree programs have equipped me with essential research skills and a broad understanding of history and the world. I value highly my rural upbringing, love studying American history, faithfully keep up with current news, and care deeply that Indiana stays true to the Christian and traditional ideals that have made both Indiana and America great. My extensive travels in Indiana and beyond, coupled with more than ten years of work experience in various administrative and leadership roles in an institution of higher learning, give me a broad perspective and a set of abilities that suit me well for representing Hoosiers at the Statehouse.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
I am pro-life, pro-family, pro-second amendment, and America first. I strongly desire to work for the citizens of District 58 to keep Indiana a bastion of freedom and to ensure that Indiana continues to be a great place to live, worship, work, and raise a family.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality that is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a born-again Christian with Judeo-Christian values. I support Israel and condemn all forms of antisemitism. My world view is framed by the truths of the Bible. I believe that every individual has the right to worship in the way that he believes is truth, as long as the particular form of worship or belief does not pose an obvious threat to the property or lives of others. When it comes to legislative government, differences of opinion are to be discussed via the debate format of the state and federal legislatures and put to a vote.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
There are different ethnicities but only one race--the human race. Racism is a tool used by extremist political ideologies to divide groups within a society, fomenting anger and strife, so as to implement a governmental and societal change. As such, racism does pose a domestic security threat in the U.S. and must be denounced in all cases. The reality is that the majority of Americans are not racist, but are rather very accepting of all people, regardless of ethnicity.
