QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Risk of death of the mother.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.
Strongly Agree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.
Yes
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
The government cannot establish or control religion, but religion is not banished from public life.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Strongly Agree
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
Strongly Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
I believe in promoting healthcare that is adequate, affordable, and accessible. Generally focus on market competition, state flexibility, and targeted safety nets rather than a universal federal guarantee.
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Strongly Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
I support reducing non-defense discretionary spending, including duplicative programs and excessive bureaucracy. I also support cutting waste, fraud, and abuse across federal agencies.
IMMIGRATION
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Agree
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Strongly Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Immigration should be legal, orderly, limited, and aligned with U.S. economic and security interests. I believe priority should be given to workers in high-demand fields and immediate family members (spouse and minor children). I support asylum protections in principle, but believe claims should be processed quickly and outside of the U.S. when possible. Refugee admissions should be "strongly" vetted and prioritizing religious minorities or those facing clear persecution.
2ND AMENDMENT
Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
Yes
Trained, willing school staff should have the option to carry firearms to protect students. Key conditions are: Voluntary participation (not mandatory), extensive background checks, specialized firearms and safety training, coordination with local law enforcement, and secure storage requirements.
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
I believe some restrictions are appropriate—especially to keep guns away from violent criminals and the dangerously mentally ill—but I am opposed to sweeping new gun control laws that undermine constitutional rights.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Strongly Disagree
In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
1. Public Safety: Allowing judges to deny bail to defendants deemed a substantial risk, which would tighten pretrial release conditions. focusing on public safety and reducing crime as part of a broader legislative agenda. 2. Lowering Cost and Reducing Regulation: Increasing energy affordability by adjusting utility regulation. Streamlining government by eliminating or combining redundant boards and commissions. 3. Public Assistance and Welfare Program Reform: Reforming public assistance programs a priority, particularly tightening eligibility rules and reducing fraud and abuse in programs like: SNAP (food assistance) and Medicaid.
JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY
I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.
Strongly Disagree
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
Economic Views: I would consider myself a "limited government conservative; who is very pro-growth. Government should be small and limited. Taxes should be low and regulations should be reduced. Welfare programs should be limited and encourage work. Social Matters: I am a pro-life, pro-family, traditional values conservative. I believe life begins at conception. I believe parents should control children’s education and religious liberty should be strongly protected. Immigration: I am a law-and-order conservative. Being a retired police officer, I believe strong border enforcement and is essential to the safely and well-being of all U.S. citizens. I believe there needs to be a pathway to citizenship with extreme admissions vetting. Foreign Policy: I am a peace through strength conservative. I believe in a strong military and assertive American global leadership, however, I am focused on domestic priorities over global commitments.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
I am a retired Sergeant from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department with more than thirty years of service. I have protected families firsthand and earned credibility when it comes to crime policy, drug enforcement, border and trafficking concerns, and victims’ rights. I haven’t just debated laws, I have enforced them. I understand unintended consequences. I have seen where statutes help or hinder and know how policies impact real people on the ground. I’ve had to make decisions in seconds that affected lives. I’ll bring that same seriousness to every decision and vote in the Statehouse. As a twenty-year youth and high school football coach and mentor, I have worked directly with young people and families. That connection allowed me to understand the importance of education policies, parental rights, youth mental health and workforce readiness. As a successful coach I built culture, developed discipline, and inspired people toward a shared goal. That is legislative leadership in action. I’ve spent my career protecting our community and investing in our kids. I understand public safety, personal responsibility, and the importance of strong families. I’m not running to be a career politician—I’m running to bring real-world experience and common sense leadership to the Statehouse.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
As our next State Representative, I am dedicated to upholding the values that make Indiana strong: faith, family, hard work, and personal responsibility. I am a husband, father, retired police officer, and concerned citizen, not a career politician, and I am ready to bring common-sense conservative leadership to the Statehouse. My pillars for success include: Defending faith, family, and personal freedoms, and pushing back against government overreach Keeping schools focused on student success, with transparency and strong parental involvement, not political agendas Prioritizing public safety and standing with law enforcement, first responders, and victims Protecting the Second Amendment, the sanctity of life, and all constitutional rights and freedoms Lowering taxes and promoting fiscal responsibility to benefit homeowners, small businesses, farmers, and working families
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality that is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe the United States was shaped by biblical principles and those principles remain important to public life. I firmly believe that life begins at conception and should be legally protected. I also believe in the traditional family stucture of the importance of a two-parent household and parental rights in education. I support religious liberty, including: Conscience protections for businesses and healthcare providers, school prayer rights, and faith-based organizations’ autonomy. Lastly, I believe in personal responsibility and moral accountability. Thus, personal responsibility over government dependency and charity through churches and communities rather than federal programs.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
I do not believe racism is a threat to domestic security in the United States. Racism today is primarily individual behavior, not embedded in laws or institutions. The U.S. has made major legal progress since the Civil Rights era. I believe labeling the country as “systemically racist” undermines national unity. I clearly recognize white supremacist violence as criminal and dangerous and support prosecuting extremist groups, utilizing law enforcement and counterterrorism tools .
