RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Agree
Taxpayer dollars should not fund elective abortion. However, Title X grants support a broad range of services — including education, counseling, contraception, cancer screenings, and other preventive care — that benefit many Coloradans, particularly low-income women. I support continued public funding for those education and health services, but those dollars should be clearly separated from any funding that subsidizes abortion procedures.
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
I believe human life is precious from its earliest stages, and abortion should be reserved for the most serious circumstances. Specifically, I support legal access to abortion in cases of: Threat to the life or serious health of the mother, rape and incest, severe fetal anomaly incompatible with life. Outside of these narrow circumstances, I do not support elective abortion.
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.
Agree
I deeply value the sanctity of human life and believe it deserves legal protection. Personally, I would not choose to end a pregnancy, even in the case of a severe fetal anomaly. However, I recognize that the most heartbreaking medical situations involve profound moral, medical, and spiritual weight that no government is positioned to carry for a family.
The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.
Neutral
I am deeply conflicted on this issue.
The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.
Strongly Agree
I am a law-and-order candidate. If a law exists, it should be enforced.
ECONOMY
What is your position on the minimum wage?
I oppose government-mandated minimum wages. A wage freely agreed upon is fair. Mandated hikes raise prices, cut hours, and eliminate entry-level jobs - hurting the workers they're meant to help. Free markets, not government, should set wages.
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
Property rights are foundational to liberty and economic prosperity. The Fifth Amendment is clear: "nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation," and the Fourteenth Amendment extends that protection against state overreach. Free enterprise has lifted more people out of poverty than any system in history. Government should protect property rights and the rule of law, not dictate how Coloradans use, develop, or profit from what they rightfully own.
List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.
1) Regular, timely audits - independent reviews on a set schedule to catch waste early. 2) Qualified personnel - taxpayer-funded programs must be staffed by people with the expertise to deliver results. 3) Eliminate redundant bureaucracy - cut duplicate offices and unnecessary administrative layers. 4) Strong spending oversight - every approved dollar tracked and accounted for. 5) Full transparency - open budgets so taxpayers can hold government accountable.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
To me, separation of church and state means government must neither establish a religion nor restrict its free exercise. The First Amendment is clear: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." Every American has the right to choose their own faith and live by their beliefs without government dictating those choices. This principle protects religion from government interference - not the other way around.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
The First Amendment protects the "free exercise" of religion - and that freedom does not end when an American opens a business or enters the workplace. Compelling individuals or businesses to provide services that violate their sincerely held moral or religious beliefs is a direct violation of the Constitution. The Supreme Court affirmed this in 303 Creative v. Elenis and Masterpiece Cakeshop. Religious liberty must be protected in private life and public commerce alike.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. The elderly and most vulnerable Americans deserve protection. Medicare should remain available but as an opt-in program, not mandated - mandatory enrollment is government overreach at its worst. Medicaid should be preserved for those truly in need, pared back to essential services only. Beyond these, free markets and patient choice serve Americans better than federal control.
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.
Strongly Disagree
This is a textbook invasion of privacy and a massive government overreach. Federal law - including HIPAA - exists precisely to protect Americans' medical information from this kind of intrusion. A government database of citizens' illnesses doesn't reduce economic burden; it creates one, fueling expanded bureaucracy and surveillance. Just look at Colorado's bloated budget. Government has no business categorizing Americans by their diagnoses.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
The CCP poses serious and escalating threats - militarily, in cyberspace, through intellectual property theft, and in global economic competition. Recent arrests of state and local officials acting as foreign agents prove these threats reach into American communities. As a Colorado State Rep, I will support protections against ALL outside threats, including the CCP - not just the categories listed, but also critical infrastructure: our power grid, water systems, supply chains, and data.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Yes - deeply important. Israel is the only stable democracy in the Middle East and a vital U.S. ally, partnering with us on intelligence, cybersecurity, and missile defense like Iron Dome - capabilities that save American lives. Israel also stands as a bulwark against hostile regimes like Iran. Beyond strategy, our nations share a Judeo-Christian heritage and a commitment to religious liberty. Supporting Israel reflects our values and interests.
IMMIGRATION
I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.
Strongly Disagree
I believe in the rule of law. Sanctuary cities undermine that principle by shielding individuals who have entered or remained in the country illegally. Our first obligation is to protect the safety and well-being of American citizens. We have a legal immigration process that has served generations of new Americans well, and it should be respected, enforced, and followed. Local jurisdictions should cooperate with federal immigration authorities, not obstruct them.
EDUCATION
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Agree
The best government is the one closest to the people who live under it. Education is not mentioned in the Constitution, and the 10th Amendment reserves such matters to the states and communities. Local control means parents, teachers, and elected school boards - not Washington bureaucrats - shape what children learn. That said, federal civil rights protections like Title IX should remain in
Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.
Strongly Agree
American classrooms and campuses should serve American students, not foreign agendas. Billions of dollars from foreign governments - much of it undisclosed - have flowed into U.S. universities, shaping research, curriculum, and academic freedom. Even when intentions are benign, this kind of funding creates conflicts of interest and opens the door to undue influence. Education decisions should rest with American taxpayers, parents, and communities, with full transparency.
VALUES
Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.
Strongly Agree
The right of parents to direct the upbringing, education, and health of their own children is one of the most fundamental liberties protected by our Constitution. The 14th Amendment's guarantee that no state may deprive any person of "life, liberty, or property, without due process of law" has been consistently interpreted by the Supreme Court to protect parental rights. Parents, not government, know their children best.
Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.
Strongly Agree
Children are not developmentally able to make permanent, life-altering medical decisions. Adolescent brains develop into the mid-20s, and these interventions can cause irreversible harm. We restrict alcohol, voting, and tattoos until adulthood for the same reason. The UK, Sweden, and Finland recently halted these treatments for minors after reviewing the evidence. Children deserve compassion and mental health support - not irreversible decisions before they can truly consent.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Neutral
I do not believe the government should be involved in marriage.
I support the expansion of gambling in my state.
Neutral
Colorado's gambling framework provides real benefits for Coloradans. Tax revenues are voluntarily paid only by people who choose to play. These revenues fund the Colorado Water Plan, historic preservation, and community colleges; gaming sustains the economies of mountain towns like Black Hawk, Central City, and Cripple Creek; the industry employs thousands of Coloradans; and adults retain the right to make their own entertainment choices.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am the daughter of a Christian pastor and hold firmly to my Christian faith. My life is guided by the Fruits of the Spirit - love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control - and by the Golden Rule taught by Jesus: "Do to others as you would have them do to you." I value integrity and believe public service is an opportunity to live out these values in every decision I make on behalf of my neighbors.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
Voting is one of the most consequential acts a citizen can perform - it absolutely warrants verifying who is casting the ballot. We require photo ID to drive, fly, open a bank account, buy alcohol, pick up a prescription, and check into a hotel. Requiring ID to vote is reasonable and is the standard in most democracies around the world. Free state ID is available to anyone who needs it. Voter ID protects election integrity and the voice of every legitimate voter.
EQUALITY
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
Government should treat every American equally under the law, regardless of race. The 14th Amendment guarantees equal protection - distributing benefits or burdens by race violates that principle. Reparations would also be impossible to administer fairly: most Americans have complex ancestral histories, and millions immigrated long after slavery ended. We should focus on expanding opportunity, education, and economic mobility for every American - not dividing citizens by race.
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
Physiological differences between men and women are real and well-documented. Title IX was created specifically to give women safe, fair opportunities in sports and education. Allowing biological males into women's sports puts female competitors at risk of injury and jeopardizes opportunities. Same-sex bathrooms, locker rooms, shelters, and prisons exist to protect the privacy, dignity, and safety of men and women.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.
Strongly Disagree
The climate has always changed throughout Earth's history, and stewardship of our environment matters. But "urgent political action" too often means top-down mandates that raise energy prices on working families, threaten Colorado jobs in our energy sector, and increase our dependence on hostile nations like China for critical minerals and rare earths. Innovation, free markets, and an all-of-the-above energy strategy will serve Coloradans and our environment far better than government decrees.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Natural gas is the most reliable, affordable source today, and Colorado is a major producer. But no single source can meet growing demand alone. An all-of-the-above strategy - natural gas, nuclear, hydro, wind, and solar - is the most reliable path.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

No
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?
The goal of our criminal justice system should be public safety, justice for victims, and meaningful accountability for offenders. Punishment alone is not enough - rehabilitation and reentry programs reduce recidivism, save taxpayer dollars, and prevent future victims. Texas offers a model: through conservative-led reforms, the state has cut its prison population by over 34,000, closed 16 prisons, reduced crime 29%, and saved $1.6 billion - all while making communities safer.
Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.
Agree
Government has a clear role in protecting children from online predators - including strong criminal laws against sexual exploitation and requiring tech companies to provide effective parental controls and safety tools. But the primary responsibility for raising and protecting children belongs to parents, not the state. Government should regulate the platforms and prosecute the criminals, then equip parents with the tools and information they need to safeguard their own children online.
Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.
Strongly Agree
The U.S. Constitution is the supreme law of our land. One legal system - based on equal protection, individual rights, and the rule of law - must apply to every American, regardless of background or belief. Americans of every faith have the constitutional right to practice their religion freely, but no religious legal code can supersede our Constitution or override the rights it guarantees.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
The Second Amendment guarantees the right of law-abiding citizens to keep and bear arms, and that right shall not be infringed. Background checks to keep firearms from criminals and the dangerously mentally ill are essential and already in place. But criminals don't obey gun laws - they obtain weapons regardless - while disarming law-abiding Americans leaves them defenseless. Public safety is best served by enforcing existing laws and ensuring responsible Americans can defend their families.
