What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
As a Christian conservative on “separation of church and state” is not what many think. I do not believe the Constitution requires a secular public square that treats religious belief as radioactive or that forces Christians to check their convictions at the door of public life. The phrase “separation of church and state” is not in the Constitution. It comes from a letter Jefferson wrote. Government should stay out of religion not the other way around and that was the intent of the founders.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. Yes. America’s relationship with Israel is important. As a Christian conservative, I support a strong U.S. Israel alliance. Israel is a fellow democracy and reliable partner against terrorism in a hostile region. Intelligence and military cooperation serve American interests. Scripture affirms God’s purpose for the Jewish people and their homeland. Supporting Israel’s right to exist and defend itself is consistent with history, justice, and strength not dual loyalty. Weakness invites aggression.

I support ending the U.S. Department of Education and returning control to states and communities. In Colorado this cuts both ways. State rules already push teaching on gender identity and related topics I believe are wrong and age-inappropriate. Local control would lock that in where progressive majorities rule, while freeing conservative areas. The federal overreach is real but so is Colorado’s current direction.

What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?
protect the innocent, hold offenders accountable, and keep our communities safe. Justice means punishment that fits the crime. Criminals must face real consequences not endless second chances that put families at risk. Deterrence only works when the law is enforced consistently and swiftly. Public safety comes before politics or soft-on-crime experiments. Rehabilitation has a place for those who genuinely want to turn their lives around, but it can never replace victims rights and justice.

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
The only gun restrictions needed for public safety are those on convicted criminals. Law-abiding citizens should not lose their Second Amendment rights because of others’ crimes. I believe people who have truly turned their lives around deserve a clear legal path to restore lawful ownership once they have paid their debt and proven reform. Enforce the law against violent offenders do not disarm responsible citizens. The Constitution is clear "Shall Not Be Infringed"
