Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

The decision on abortion is a choice and right that the woman has based on her medical condition, and upon consultation with her medical doctor.
What role should the school serve in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy?
Any Public School must work in conjunction with the students parents, and the school should hide no information from the parents.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
With regard to public schools, what does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
A fundamental concept of the USA is you can practice the form of religion you wish to practice and believe in. It is not the governements role to tell any citizen what religion they should believe. Thus the separation of "Church and State" must exist in our Public Schools because Public means they are for all citizens regardless of race or religion.
ECONOMY
Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.

One should be and must be responsible for their debt no matter if it is student loans, cars, homes etc.
What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?
The State of Wisconsin should fairly fund our Public Schools. The Wisconsin Republican party has attacked Public Schools by their strong voucher program that further weakens the Public Schools and pushes the burden to all taxpayers to further bear.
IMMIGRATION
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) enhances the safety and security of communities by identifying and detaining illegal aliens.

NOT under the Trump Administration. ICE has always worked with local law enforcement to pick up and aprehend illegal aliens who have been detained by local police. That's how it should be. ICE under Trump has become a para-military force at the discretion of the President, and daily breaks and shreds fundamental law enforcement standards of conduct and behavior as has been demonstrated in the Twin Cities and across the country under Trump. We all want and need a secure border.
EDUCATION
Abortion and gender-affirming providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.

This is a topic between children and their parents. It is NOT the role of the Public Schools to tell parents how to raise their children other than the fact that parents MUST be involved in their childrens education and ensure their children come to school ready to learn and have respect for their teachers and staff.
Consequences for bad behavior create a safe and orderly environment, which is essential for student learning.

Sex Ed is one of those topics that should be primarily discussed between parents and children. Public Schools should limit their involvement to human anatomy/the reproductive system, physical and emotional health outcomes, what STDs can be transmitted and how they affect the quality of ones life and health, the likely possibility of teen pregnancy and the negative implications that can have on a teen when having a baby before they are truly ready to bear that awesome responsibility.

School choice creates competition, and that competition will push public schools to improve their educational systems.

If parents want to send their kids to a private school, then please do, but it should NOT be the position of the State of Wisconsin to openly fund private schools which have the opposite effect of disintegrating our Public Schools. The State Government is the Public and the Public Schools means exactly what it says--for and by the Public
2ND AMENDMENT
Faculty who are licensed to carry and have had ongoing training should be allowed to carry guns at school in order to respond to an active shooter situation.

I have historically been an Independent Voter. I believe anyone who ALWAYS votes straight democrat or republican is a lazy citizen. Why? Sometimes the Democrats have good ideas. Sometimes the Republicans have good ideas. NEITHER party is always right or wrong. We are all Americans folks!! I strive to put Country and Constitution above party or person. I believe in our Democracy and I do not want a dictatorship. To protest Trump I registered democrat for the 1st time.

VALUES
Biological males should be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

The WIAA actually just ruled that any male who changes their sex to female, will not be allowed to participate in womens sports. Those former males, no matter the sex change, still have more muscle mass and are simply stronger and faster than a female athlete. If you must change your sex, then you have to accept the fact you will not participate in high school sports
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am an Orthodox Christian. The Orthodox Church is the oldest Christian Church in the World and directly descends from the Apostles. I believe that Jesus is the Christ and the Son of the Living God whom I believe in. God is Love. God is NOT hate. We are all sinners and fall short of the glory of God. When it comes to something like homosexuality, the New Testament directly teaches us to hate the sin and NOT hate the sinner but show love to those. Again, the essence of God is Love. If you hate, then you must be honest with yourself and you are not a follower of Jesus.
Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.

I would add that it is imperative for the Government to provide scientific guidance on the benefit and value of vaccines. Vaccines are the single most reason why life expectancy had steadily increased in the 20th century. Vaccines improve Public Health and do not cause autism. By doubting vaccines we are NOW seeing the greatest measles outbreak in 30 years. Few of us have any idea how BAD polio was and it terrified American familes for decades until a single vaccine stopped polio cold.
I support the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., that people should be judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

I would add that life is all about choices and decisions. I don't agree with the homosexual or lesbian life style/choice, but if that is someones choice, then I am not going to hate or discriminate against those people. They are not hurting me. They are not stealing from me. They must live their life that is a decision between them and God.

I am not going to adhere to any philosophy that wants to toss books into a pile and burn them. That is straight from the playbook of Adolph Hitler. Who are we kidding? The internet and Social Media unfortunately show our children anything they want to find.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Look--you should have to provide a photo ID to REGISTER to vote, but once you're registered, a photo ID should not be required. You're going to run into situations where an elderly person has lived in a town for years, but via common sense, has stopped driving and has an expired drivers license. So they will not have a photo ID and likely will not have a valid passport. So then you're going to not allow this long time citizen not be able to vote?
