QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Strongly Agree

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

Strongly Agree

Human embryos should not be bought and sold. They should also not be created recklessly, or in excess of what a doctor reasonably intends on using for one couple's fertility.

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

Only under the exception of life of the mother and/or documented rape or incest, only in the first trimester.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Disagree

The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

Strongly Agree

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

This is America. Doing that would violate our Constitutional rights.

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

It means that the state cannot endorse or show favoritism to a specific religion. The state also cannot interfere with the practice of religion or group of believers. Government cannot punish or restrict religious belief or expression simply because it’s religious. It cannot limit the exercise of one's religion. Also, churches should not be overtly-political, endorsing candidates or using the church service for the promotion of specific candidates. Separation protects the integrity of both.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

Where it is in our national interest, we should consider assisting. That doesn't justify a long war. Typically, Congress should have the responsibility in deciding when and where that is necessary. Diplomacy and "carrying a big stick" are vitally important to maintaining a peaceful world order. Strength is a deterrent. Foreign aide is too; ie support your allies but don't rush to war. Building coalitions is important globally. We should always try non-military efforts like sanctions first.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Yes. Our partnership with Israel is supporting the only democracy in the Middle East. We also honor their right to exist based on UN declarations, including Resolution 181. Again, that does not mean we condone every action Israel takes, or that we fail to constructively criticize them when necessary. But we acknowledge there are benefits to our partnership and encourage their rights to be recognized globally.

Islamic terrorism is a threat to the United States' national security.

Agree

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

C - the government needs to make healthcare more competitive, instead of interfering with the market. Government incentives for healthcare are propping up a failed insurance model. This benefits only insurance companies. We don't need to increase the debt for all Americans to discount the price of market insurance for some Americans. Universal healthcare is a horrible idea because it will limit our productivity, R&D, and the salary for doctors and nurses. Increase competition across states.

The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Strongly Disagree

I strongly disagree and that's one reason we are against Universal healthcare. Most Americans acknowledge that administering healthcare is first foremost about individual rights and privacy. The patient's rights come first. That is the antithesis to Universal healthcare. If Americans want to continue to make the choices that are best for them, they need to be in control of their healthcare - not the government.

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

People who can afford to pay more taxes should do so in order to provide relief for working families.

Disagree

The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.

Agree

List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.

Strengthen anti-fraud enforcement. Set reasonable time limits on certain benefits with automatic reviews, not sudden cutoffs. Then, pair time limits with case management so recipients know exactly what steps move them toward independence, instead of perpetual dependence. Require oversight and reduction for corporate cash subsidies. Subsidies that were meant to be temporary have become permanent—and profitable companies in technology, real estate, and energy now depend on Washington.

IMMIGRATION

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

People who have legal approval, fill a labor-need, and are skilled to make our country function stronger. Those speaking English &/or who are skilled in trades that we need, should get priority for temporary legal work here. Students and those advancing our engineering and medical systems should also be able to live & work here. Also, if anyone is in immediate threat of bodily harm in their home country should be able to get a temporary refugee status to work & live here.

I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

Strongly Disagree

EDUCATION

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Disagree

Not eliminated, but the power of education should mostly reside in the states. The Department of Edu should exist to administer IDEA funding like special education support, Title I, Pell Grants & student aid. It should not be dictating curriculum. The purpose should be a safety net of baseline accountability. The ultra-right is ridiculous to think that one of the most important facets of government should have NO place in the federal government. That is foolish.

Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.

Strongly Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Congress can ban bump stocks, as the Supreme Court has stated.

ABOUT YOU

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

no

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

no

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

I'm a true Conservative. I am not a far-right conspiracy theorist. We should put national interest first while also utilizing our position in the world as a leader. We should deter and punish crime. We can target humanitarian aid to help people survive and rebuild without creating long-term dependency. We have to act with common sense and decency. We must stop spending recklessly, which will collapse our system.

VALUES

Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.

Strongly Agree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian. That means: I follow Jesus as the authority in my life. I believe the Bible instructs us "To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." That does not mean that I disrespect others who disagree. I believe that this country was founded on Christian principles and that is the key to our success. Our rights come from our Creator, and are reflected in the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Our morality has made us strong. Making laws that protect or encourage morality is the point of leadership. As we continue to care for the vulnerable and take a stand against evil in the world, we will be stronger.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

EQUALITY

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

Nuclear power. Unequivocally. It has the smallest footprint and the most efficient output of any source of energy. Small module reactors must be implemented safely to equip our grid for the electrical needs of data centers.
