What role should the school serve in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy?

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
With regard to public schools, what does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
In public schools, “separation of church and state” means the school, as a government body, cannot sponsor or endorse religious activities or instruction, while still protecting students’ rights to practice their faith individually and voluntarily. This is not a matter of personal interpretation but a long-standing application of the First Amendment’s Establishment Clause that has been repeatedly affirmed by the U.S. Supreme Court.
ECONOMY
Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.

What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?
I believe education is essential for individual opportunity and for a strong community. I support strong, stable funding for our public schools from kindergarten through 12th grade, so that every student has access to high-quality teaching, safe and well-maintained buildings, and the programs they need to succeed.
IMMIGRATION
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) enhances the safety and security of communities by identifying and detaining illegal aliens.
Strongly Disagree
For school-age children, immigration status itself is a civil matter, not criminal, and schools are required to educate all students regardless of status. Immigration status is not inherently violent or dangerous. However, bringing visible ICE enforcement onto or near school grounds increases absenteeism and anxiety, damages school climate, and disrupts the learning environment for all students—negatively affecting school safety and security.
EDUCATION
Abortion and gender-affirming providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.

Educators should give students a thorough education in America's founding documents and cultivate American patriotism.

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Strongly Disagree
Eliminating the U.S. Department of Education would pull away targeted K-12 funds like Title I and special education that our local districts rely on to educate children in poverty and students with disabilities. That would leave communities with a bad choice: higher local property taxes or larger class sizes and fewer supports for the kids who need them most, which is not fiscally conservative and not a responsible way to safeguard our children’s future.
If you support the teaching of Sex Ed, please answer the following question: Sexual education should include these topics (list all that apply and add your own, if needed) -- abortion methods and side effects; abstinence; consent; contraceptive methods; human anatomy/the reproductive system; physical and emotional health outcomes; sex acts and pleasures of sex; sexual orientation and gender identity; stages of pregnancy and fetal development

Public schools should prioritize academic achievement and building character necessary to preserve American traditions and self-government.

School choice creates competition, and that competition will push public schools to improve their educational systems.
Neutral
There is some evidence of modest competitive benefits in certain designs, but it’s mixed, highly context-dependent, and often offset by funding and equity harms.
2ND AMENDMENT
Faculty who are licensed to carry and have had ongoing training should be allowed to carry guns at school in order to respond to an active shooter situation.

I support the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., that people should be judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin.
Strongly Agree
I share Dr. King’s hope for a community where no one is limited or labeled by the color of their skin. I believe we should treat people with equal dignity.
