I believe using taxpayer funds for abortions infringes on the religious liberty rights of those who would oppose their tax dollars going to fund the elective destruction of innocent life.
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
Elective abortions should not be allowed. There are other options, and this infringes on the natural right to life of the unborn human.
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

What is your position on the minimum wage?
A modest minimum wage policy is acceptable, though not entirely necessary. In a fully free market, there should be no minimum wage. Workers should negotiate their pay based on experience, effort, and productivity.
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
It means what the founders meant it to mean: There should be no executive of the state that is also the leader of a forced national religion. Religion and religious belief are inextricably tied to the foundation and first principles of America, but all citizens should be allowed to worship how they choose without any reprisal from the government.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Absolutely not. Doing business is an agreement between two parties, and at no point in time should one party be forced to do business with another.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
C-) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available to those who have contributed, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary, and those who have not contributed for significant portions of time should be allowed to focus the tax money they otherwise pay to other programs if they so choose; an "opt-out" option.
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

I have worked at the Strategic level of the US military in many roles. I have seen the ambitions of the CCCP in many areas outside of the US. They certain pose a threat to the American way of life if they wanted. We must deter them from generating greater military strength.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
It is, because of the currently key strategic location it provides us the reason to be present in the Middle East. I don't know how much the US would care about Israel were it not for the genocidal actions of the Nazi party in WWII. I stand by Israel and believe we should help protect it, but I don't know how important the relationship is strategically.

I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

I believe in the Rule of Law and I believe we cannot accept unlimited population in the US. Sanctuary cities tend to become sanctuaries for major crimes.

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

I am ok with the US Dept of Ed continuing to exist, but I believe it needs a new mission and focus for the organization. Curriculum should be controlled at the state and local level.

Absolutely not!! This destroys the voting system and opens it up to abuse. When the people fail to trust our free and fair election process, our Republic begins to disintegrate.

Climate ebbs and flows over eons of time. We are in a warming period, yes, but I don't think the Romans created global warming any more than the American Revolution expanded a mini ice age.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
For northern Colorado the immediate answer is Natural Gas, but we can and should think larger and further forward. Geothermal energy and SMR Nuclear energy are very viable alternatives. Solar and wind are less effective and should be a last resort.

Politically I am Conservative, but personally I am Very Conservative. I allow for more tolerance in my public policy decisions than I do in my personal life because I recognize not everyone shares my beliefs (i.e. I do not believe in drinking alcohol or smoking, but I am never going to be an abolitionist).

What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?
The goal of the criminal justice system should be to restore justice, as best as possible, to victims, and to rehabilitate those who commit crimes into individuals who recognize how their actions impact society in negative ways and, most importantly, infringe one the Rights to Life, Liberty, Property, and the pursuit of Happieness.
Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.
