ECONOMY
What is your position on the minimum wage?
Keep Ohio's inflation-indexed system. Large government-mandated increases kill entry-level jobs for teens and seniors. The real answer is credentialed careers that pay far above minimum wage, which my education plan delivers.
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

As a CPA for over 30 years, I've seen that private property and free enterprise built every job in this district. I believe a home you can be taxed out of is never truly yours, and I will fight to protect Ohio homeowners.
List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.
Cut school administrative overhead. Ohio spends $3.17 billion a year on administration, one administrator per 111 students. Move that money to classrooms. Put every government budget on a public dashboard in plain language, updated quarterly. Require an annual Auditor of State report comparing promised savings to actual savings on every major program. Disclose cash reserves on every levy request so voters know what's already in the bank. Nursing home reform: too many administrators and managers.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
The First Amendment protects the church from the state, not the other way around. Government may not establish a religion, and it may not interfere with the free exercise of faith. The phrase appears nowhere in the Constitution. It comes from Jefferson's letter assuring the Danbury Baptists that government would leave their faith alone. People of faith have every right to bring their values into public life, as Americans have done since our founding.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

No American should be forced to choose between their livelihood and their faith. The Supreme Court has affirmed this repeatedly. Conscience rights are the first freedom.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
Protect Medicare and Medicaid for those who depend on them, and demand accountability for how every dollar is spent. In nursing homes especially, the money should go to caregivers, not administrators.
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Government has no business keeping registries of sick citizens. Medical privacy is fundamental, and 'economic burden' framing treats people as line items. As a CPA I want honest accounting of public health spending, and that can be done with anonymous aggregate data, never a database of names.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

The CCP steals our intellectual property, hacks our systems, and targets our farmland and industries. At the state level, Ohio should bar CCP-tied entities from buying Ohio farmland and critical infrastructure, and protect our universities and research from espionage.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Yes. Israel is our most reliable ally in the Middle East and the region's only true democracy. We share intelligence, technology, and values. As a Catholic, I also recognize Israel as the guardian of holy sites sacred to Christians and Jews alike. America keeps its word to its friends, and Israel has been a faithful friend.

I am a practicing Catholic. My faith teaches me that every life has dignity from conception to natural death, that we are called to serve the least among us, and that public office is stewardship, not power. My wife and I believe I was called to this race, and we draw quiet assurance from Psalm 147, which says the Lord delights not in the strength of the horse but in those who await His care. I write books on faith and the afterlife, and my beliefs shape how I treat every person I meet, including those who disagree with me.
