QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.
Strongly Agree
The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
I’m against any elective abortions. Abortion is murder, so the reasons to have one are very limited in scope and should be restricted to cases of medical necessity, such as likely death of the mother.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Disagree
The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.
Strongly Agree
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
It means the state should not elevate itself to being a religious authority. It does not mean that laws, systems, or decisions by our leaders cannot be shaped by a worldview. Actually Christianity should be the standard we use in our system. If the government created a “Christian Church of America,” it would not be Christian, because Jesus is our mediator and all people, regardless of status, are sinners. We know this works as Christian values are the foundation of our founding.
NATIONAL SECURITY
With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.
C - in some instances B
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Agree
Yes, but some of this is from our own doing (ie offshoring).
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
It needs to be more balanced to be considered an alliance.
Islamic terrorism is a threat to the United States' national security.
Agree
I agree but similar to the China answer, we have a hand to play in this too (ie unjust wars).
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
D - Welfare breeds dependency and does not create wealth. Communities should take care of each other. Too often, people use the government apparatus to take advantage of its ability to coerce others. While some government assistance may be necessary, it should be limited. We can see today that the welfare state does not work.. it is bankrupting us as it makes up the majority of federal expenditures.
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.
Neutral
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
People who can afford to pay more taxes should do so in order to provide relief for working families.
Disagree
People who consume more WILL pay more in taxes, but I disagree with the premise that gvt redistribution provides worthwhile relief. I am for reform that will allow all people to keep their wealth - this is lead by backing our dollar with something real, like gold & silver (as the Constitution intended).
The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.
Strongly Agree
List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.
- back the dollar with real assets - simplify the tax code to limit gaming the system - reform and phase out the welfare state - make equality under the law a non-negotiable - overall come back to two Biblical principles when making decisions: all people have value & all people are flawed
IMMIGRATION
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
The priority should be bringing in people who can contribute to the economy, while still allowing room for the less fortunate when the infrastructure exists to support them. Assimilation into American culture is key, so generally speaking, people from other Western countries would likely rank higher. However, each person is an individual with inherent value, and we should be careful about broad generalizations.
I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.
Strongly Disagree
EDUCATION
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Strongly Agree
Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.
Strongly Agree
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.
Strongly Agree
The harm is too great to be lukewarm on this issue.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
We have the 2nd Amendment to allow the people to overthrow a government. So the restrictions should be extreme (violent criminal history, severe mental illness, weapons of war - actually weapons of war not the AR15 scare that the anti-gun people push). It takes a responsible citizenry to get this right..
ABOUT YOU
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
no
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
no
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
I don't like what's considered "moderate". I sympathize with some of the problems raised by the left, such as affordability, but I believe the collectivist approach of concentrating more power is misguided. In a free society, government should serve human liberty and use only the minimum force necessary. That limited role is still vital: to establish justice, keep the peace, defend the nation, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty (per the Preamble to the Constitution)
VALUES
Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.
Strongly Agree
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Agree
Yes, anything else should not be called marriage but a union.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I came to faith in Jesus Christ (by grace alone) in December 2022 after questioning the basis of what I believed to be true through politics. I believe the Bible is the infallible word of God, that God has written His law on all of our hearts, that we are called to share the gospel (the Great Commission), and that we are to love the Lord with all our heart, mind, and soul (the Great Commandment). The core message of my campaign is to explain what two biblical truths mean for our governance, truths the vast majority of Americans already believe: 1) all people have value, and 2) all people are flawed. The hope is not only to have a better-run government, but for people to examine their beliefs and, ultimately, come to Christ.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
EQUALITY
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Nuclear
