Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
I am pro-life and believe, as medically recognized, that life begins at conception. I also believe, as President Trump does, exceptions should be reasonably limited, including in the case of rape, incest, and the life of the mother.
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

What is your position on the minimum wage?
I am opposed to the minimum wage. Minimum wages create unemployment and reduce hours for those who remain employed. It also hurts the ability of entry-level workers to gain experience. Economic mobility and higher wages come from growth not mandates.
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
There is no formal separation of church and state. The 1st Am protects the right of all individuals to express and worship their faith freely. It also does not prevent government acknowledgment of God and religion, which is manifested in all our founding documents, coinage, and throughout our history and government. The establishment clause merely prohibits the establishment of a government-run church/house of worship.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

As the Supreme Court has held, individuals and businesses cannot be forced to violate their 1st Am conscience rights.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
C. We need to implement reforms to move towards a more free-market system of providing healthcare. Government spending now accounts for over 50% of healthcare spending in the country (Medicaid, Medicare), which has caused bottlenecks, rationing, and higher prices. We need to encourage the movement to more private health insurance competition, creation of high risk pools, and expansion of HSAs to move towards a private-ownership model where patients are at the center of healthcare decisions.
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Yes. Israel is a key ally in the Middle East and a bulwark against terrorism. As are other free, democratic states in Europe, Latin America (Argentina, etc.), and Asia (India, Japan, South Korea), which remain important allies to maintain our American national strategic interests in peace and prosperity.

I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

I oppose sanctuary cities. They should be denied public resources for violating American and state law. Elected officials in those cities should similarly be held liable for violations committed by illegal aliens. Additionally, we need to turn off magnets for illegal immigration in our state, like in-state tuition, and E-verify should be made mandatory.
