Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
Every child is a gift from God, and the fight to protect innocent life cannot wait. Abortion should never be treated as an elective procedure. Every unborn child has inherent dignity, immeasurable value, and a fundamental right to life. I believe abortion should be permitted only when absolutely necessary to save the life of the mother. Even in those tragic circumstances, every reasonable medical effort must be made to preserve both lives whenever possible. These decisions are profoundly serious

Texas workers deserve higher wages, but government mandates are not the answer. A one-size-fits-all wage hike may be manageable for large corporations, but it can crush the small businesses that power our communities and employ our neighbors.

What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?
The criminal justice system has one overriding duty: protect victims, hold criminals accountable, and keep Texans safe. Families should never have to live in fear because repeat or violent offenders are released again and again while public safety is pushed aside. Rehabilitation has a role for those who have served their sentences and shown a genuine commitment to changing their lives. But it can never come at the expense of victims, law-abiding Texans, or the safety of our communities.

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
The priority must be clear: enforce the laws already on the books, keep firearms out of the hands of violent offenders and those legally prohibited from possessing them, and aggressively prosecute illegal possession, trafficking, and gun-related crime. Criminals who use guns to victimize our communities must face real consequences, and law enforcement must have the resources and authority necessary to identify, arrest, and prosecute violent offenders.
