QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
ECONOMY
It is the responsibility of county government to provide subsidized housing at taxpayer expense.
Strongly Disagree
I support using taxpayer funds to lobby the state legislature and/or U.S. Congress.
Strongly Disagree
Property taxes should be abolished.
Strongly Agree
Property taxes are fundamentally unfair because they penalize ownership and create a system where families never truly own their property. I strongly agree that this system should be replaced. However, any transition must be carefully planned to protect essential local services and preserve local control. Reform should be thoughtful, transparent, and focused on long-term fairness, not rushed or politically driven.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Government should not discriminate against individuals, organizations, or business owners who affirm marriage as between one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
Religious liberty is a fundamental constitutional right protected by the First Amendment. The government should never punish or compel belief, but religious freedom does not exempt anyone from the rule of law or justify violence, coercion, or the violation of others’ basic rights. Protecting liberty means defending both freedom of conscience and equal protection under the law.
IMMIGRATION
County officials should have the right to proclaim their county a sanctuary county for illegal aliens.
Strongly Disagree
VALUES
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Christian, grounded in faith in Jesus Christ. My values center on humility, service to others, integrity, accountability, and stewardship. I believe leadership is a form of service, and my faith shapes how I approach family, community, and public responsibility.
Children have the right to be protected from sexually explicit materials in publicly funded libraries, including school libraries.
Strongly Agree
It is deeply concerning that this even needs to be asked. Protecting children from sexually explicit material in publicly funded libraries, especially school libraries should be common sense. Parents and taxpayers have a right to expect that public institutions prioritize age-appropriate education and the safety and innocence of children.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
All filings by candidates for municipal office, including ballot application and campaign finance reports, should be available for public online access on the county website within 24 hours of filing deadline.
Strongly Agree
Ballot measures which include bond issues should fully disclose both the potential tax rate increase and actual monetary increase for the average single family residence.
Strongly Agree
EQUALITY
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
t is concerning that this even needs to be debated. Protecting the safety, privacy, and fairness of women and girls should be common sense. Biological differences matter in sports and in sex-segregated spaces, and public policy should reflect reality while ensuring dignity and protection for everyone.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Taxpayers should subsidize green initiatives such as electric vehicle charging stations.
Strongly Disagree
Government should not pick winners and losers using taxpayer dollars. Subsidizing electric vehicle infrastructure shifts costs onto taxpayers and distorts the free market rather than allowing innovation to develop organically.
ABOUT YOU
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
NO
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
NO
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
The fundamental purpose of government is to protect individual liberty, uphold the rule of law, and provide for public safety and basic services that individuals cannot reasonably provide on their own. Government should be limited, accountable, fiscally responsible, and focused on serving the people—not controlling them.
Please list your business investments and/or real estate, whether within the county or in an area currently proposed for annexation.
My business interests include my personal residence in Kendall County; an equity partnership in Prime Capital Financial, a financial advisory firm; and ownership of Forge Business Brokerage. I also hold a minority, non-controlling investment in a local commercial development, from which I am in the process of fully divesting to avoid any potential conflicts of interest.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to immigration and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
My views are grounded in conservative principles such as limited government, individual liberty, the rule of law, fiscal responsibility, and respect for faith, family, and community. I believe in practical, common-sense conservatism that protects freedoms, supports local control, and holds government accountable to the people it serves.
I voted in these primaries and general elections:

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.
Strongly Disagree
Protecting public safety is a core function of government. Defunding or diverting resources from police departments undermines safety and accountability. Law enforcement and community programs should work together, not compete for funding.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
The Constitution already provides the proper framework for gun ownership. Public safety is best protected by enforcing existing laws, ensuring due process, and holding criminals accountable, not by imposing new restrictions on law-abiding citizens. Firearms restrictions should focus on criminal misuse, not punishing responsible gun owners.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Disagree
While I understand the discussion around medical uses of marijuana, I am not currently supportive of recreational legalization. I believe this issue deserves careful consideration of public safety, community impact, and unintended consequences before any broad policy changes are made.
LOCAL
I support annual financial audits of every county department by an independent, third party auditor.
Strongly Agree
Regular independent audits are a standard best practice in well-run organizations and can help ensure fiscal responsibility and efficiency. At the same time, audits should be appropriately scoped and cost-conscious, focused on improving operations and accountability rather than creating redundant layers of oversight.
Please list up to three issues or projects that you think need the most attention.
1. Responsible Growth, Infrastructure, and Water Planning Kendall County is growing, and growth must be planned—not reactive. Roads, water availability, emergency services, and land-use decisions need long-term, thoughtful planning that protects property rights, ensures water security, and preserves the Hill Country character that makes this county special. 2. Public Safety and Emergency Services Protecting our families is a core function of county government. This includes properly supporting law enforcement, first responders, and emergency services so they have the resources, staffing, and training needed to keep our communities safe as the county continues to grow. 3. Fiscal Responsibility, Transparency, and Accountability Taxpayers deserve confidence that their money is being used wisely. The county should prioritize clear budgeting, responsible spending, transparency, and accountability so residents can trust that government is focused on essential services—not waste or unnecess
