QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.
Strongly Agree
The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
It shouldn't
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Disagree
The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.
Strongly Agree
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
People who can afford to pay more taxes should do so in order to provide relief for working families.
Strongly Disagree
The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.
Strongly Agree
List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.
1. Eliminate Duplicative Programs and Agencies 2. End Omnibus Spending and Restore Line-by-Line Accountability 3. Performance-Based Budgeting
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
It does not mean separation of faith and public life. The government may not establish a state religion, compel religious belief, or interfere with the free expression of faith. People of faith do not surrender their values when they enter the public square. They bring their moral convictions, informed by faith, experience, and conscience, to the decisions they make as public servants. Government should protect religious liberty for while favoring no denomination and compelling no conscience.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
C
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.
Strongly Disagree
NATIONAL SECURITY
With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.
C
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
The U.S. - Israel relationship is important for five reasons: 1. Shared security interests. 2. Intelligence cooperation. 3. Military innovation. 4. Moral and democratic alliance. 5. Regional stability.
Islamic terrorism is a threat to the United States' national security.
Strongly Agree
IMMIGRATION
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
The United States should welcome legal immigrants who will contribute to our country, respect our laws, embrace the responsibilities of citizenship, and strengthen our communities. Immigration should be lawful, orderly, merit-based, and consistent with America's economic and national security interests. Who? 1. Immediate family member of U.S. citizens. 2. Individuals with skills America needs. 3. Refugees facing genuine persecution. 4. Those who demonstrate commitment to becoming Americans.
I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.
Strongly Disagree
EDUCATION
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Strongly Agree
Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.
Strongly Agree
VALUES
Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.
Strongly Agree
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Agree

iVoterGuide Notes:
Candidate notified iVoterGuide that the intended answer to this question should have been "My faith in God is the foundation of my life. I believe that every person is created with inherent dignity and should be treated with respect, compassion, and fairness. I strive to live a life of service, personal responsibility, integrity, humility, and gratitude. My faith shapes my commitment to family, community, and country, and it calls me to lead by serving others rather than seeking power for its own sake. I believe in protecting religious liberty, strengthening families, caring for those in need through strong communities, and preserving the freedoms that allow people of faith to live according to their convictions."
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
EQUALITY
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
If limited to only one source, the answer is nuclear power. For Wisconsin and the Upper Midwest: 1. Nuclear (Foundation) 2. Natural Gas (Dispatchable Backup) 3. Hydroelectric 4. Renewables (Supplemental Growth)
ABOUT YOU
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
I do understand, however, that there are some people who, through no fault of their own, do need to receive support from the social safety net. This is best done through voluntary charity, but government has some responsibility to improve the lives of its people (incidentally, this is best done by getting out of the way of its citizens).
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.
Strongly Agree
But with limits; parents come first. Government should: 1. Aggressively prosecute child predators/traffickers 2. Strengthen law enforcement tools against grooming/sextortion 3. Require reasonable cooperation from technology firms when criminal activity is identified 4. Improve digital safety education for children/parents 5. Increase penalties for production/distribution of child sexual abuse material Government should not: 1. Become a censor of lawful speech 2. Restrict constitutional rights
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
The 2nd Amendment protects the right of law-abiding Americans to keep and bear arms. The proper role of government is not to punish responsible gun owners, but to keep firearms out of the hands of people who have proven they are dangerous. 1. Violent felons shouldn't possess firearms 2. Domestic abusers/those under valid protective orders should be restricted 3. People adjudicated mentally incompetent/dangerous through due process should be restricted 4. Stronger enforcement of existing gun laws
