QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.
Strongly Agree
I believe undoubtedly that an unborn child is its own person when it has a heartbeat. Killing an unborn child who has a heartbeat and is not a physical health threat to the mother or the product of rape or incest is murder. The consequences of abortion are not just born by the mother, physically and psychologically. Society also loses from the death of every unborn child. These losses are religiously, socially, culturally, and economically significant.
The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.
Agree
The potential of a "clump of cells" should not be taken lightly, but the issue does not rise to the level of an unborn child with a heartbeat.
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
Life of Mother from physical death or when certified under penalty of perjury and murder that the pregnancy is the result of rape or incest and only at the uncoerced consent of the mother. In the event the father is married to the mother of the unborn child, the father should have the right to a hearing, under penalty of perjury and rape, to block the abortion. Doctors who perform abortion should be civilly liable for pain and suffering caused by abortion, without waiver.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Disagree
The United States Government should not directly or indirectly fund abortions. The federal government should be barred from regulating abortion. Abortion is a state issue, and abortion is only widely accepted because of previous federal government dictates. Most Americans do not support federal intervention in healthcare. I would support a constitutional amendment which gave legal protections to unborn children at a point where they had a heartbeat.
The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.
Strongly Agree
Abortion drugs are poisons and should be regulated at the level of highly addictive and dangerous prescription drugs.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
A corporation or publicly traded company does not have moral or religious beliefs, and they are not entitled to religious freedom exemptions, although their employees may be entitled in some instances. A private company or sole proprietorship is different, and they should not be forced by the government to do something that violates their moral or religious beliefs.
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
Separation of church and state has been used to ban Christianity from government unconstitutionally. The government should not force anyone to participate in any religion, but it should also not interfere. Unless a religious practice disrupts the operation of a government office or causes an unreasonable expense to the government, religious accommodations should be made.
NATIONAL SECURITY
With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.
C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. The United States should not intervene in countries for "democracy" or "tyranny" unless there is a threat to strategic national security interests. Any country who harms or willfully allows an American Citizen (excluding dual citizens) to be harmed should face the full force of the U.S. military, if necessary.
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
China poses the single greatest threat to peace and order in the world. It is responsible for COVID-19. I do not support going to war with China over Taiwan. I fully support any and all economic sanctions against China, with consideration to its economic impact on American prosperity. The U.S. should urgently decouple from the Chinese economy.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Isreal is a tiny country in a strategically important region that is surrounded by a large number of people who threaten the lives and livelihoods of Americans at home and in the region. It is an ally. Most Americans are Christian, and Judaism and Christianity share a common and complicated history. Any foreign country or American who spies on the United States should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, in accordance with American law. Israelis should have no exception.
Islamic terrorism is a threat to the United States' national security.
Strongly Agree
Islam is incompatible with American culture and values although Americans are, of course, free to be Muslim. Islamic terrorists should not receive protections afforded to uniformed combatants that is directed in the Geneva Conventions, but torture should not be used unless it is to protect America from the direct threat of an imminent weapon of mass destruction directed against a significant number of Americans (significant meaning more than 500 or so).
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. The government is an inefficient and incompetent provider of goods and services. When a government is incentivized improperly, it will, even with good intentions, provide substandard care or deny reasonable care due to budget constraints. Federal involvement in healthcare has resulted in unaffordable healthcare because the government is not in the healthcare business.
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.
Strongly Disagree
Government research in disease treatment and prevention should be highly regulated to prevent privacy and other issues. Economic data related to healthcare should be aggregated to ensure medical privacy.
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
Federal government taxation and regulation have resulted in the almost complete erosion of private property rights. Private property for personal use should be exempt from local, state, and federal taxation, including real estate. Property above which one person could reasonably use regularly could be taxed to keep property from being horded. Individual and family-owned farms could be an exception.
People who can afford to pay more taxes should do so in order to provide relief for working families.
Disagree
The federal government is not a charity. State and local governments have the latitude to assist those in poverty.
The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.
Strongly Agree
50-75% of all federal spending is waste and corruption. The government uses taxation and regulation to erode personal freedom. It has reached a critical point.
List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.
1. Reduce the number of those entities which qualify as tax exempt and eliminate all federal funding for nongovernmental organizations. Tax exempt entities are essentially subsidized by the government at the expense of productive companies and workers. 2. Responsibly cut all federal agencies by 10-50% by attrition and budget freezes. 3. Reduce the federal income tax on households to 10%. Any person whose wealth exceeds 50-100 times the average household income should be taxed more.
IMMIGRATION
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Only people whose values and culture are compatible with American values and culture should be allowed to immigrate. Reasonable proof of this compatibility should be given by test and under oath. No person who immigrates should be allowed to hold a dual citizenship.
I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.
Strongly Disagree
State and local governments should not interfere with the execution of federal law, and they should not be coopted to act as agents of the federal government. State and local governments should afford the federal government the same courtesy as other states. For example, a person identified with a federal warrant should be detained upon processing of the federal agency or court. State and local law enforcement should not be incentivized to perform the function of the federal government.
EDUCATION
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Strongly Agree
A reduction in federal taxes would free otherwise taxed income for both private and state funding of education.
Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.
Strongly Agree
Foreign governments doing anything in the United States should be required to register as foreign agents and strictly regulated by the federal government. There is no reason a foreign government should fund American education.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.
Strongly Agree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Anywhere a law enforcement officer is allowed to carry a loaded gun in execution of their normal duties, a private citizen should have the same right. For example, military bases do not allow law enforcement to carry on the bases without permission. Prison guards do not carry guns normally within a prison. Police officers do not carry guns on planes, with few exceptions. These are reasonable restrictions.
ABOUT YOU
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
VALUES
Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.
Strongly Agree
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Agree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Protestant Christian, specifically Baptist. I consider all those who believe in Christ and follow his commandments to be Christian, including Catholics and Orthodox Christians. I do not believe in the Catholic or Orthodox Church as holy institutions, but I believe they do work for Christ in some ways. I believe there are many people who call themselves Christians who are not. Most of these people create Christ in a false image according to their desires. Christ gave us free will to follow him on earth. It is not the role of any institution to take this gift away, but there are earthly and eternal consequences for denying Christ, for both individuals and societies. Without Christ, no nation or person can be free.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
Only American citizens eligible to vote who are properly identified should be allowed to vote. Photo identification is the simplest and cheapest manner. Most people already have a drivers license or state identification. Anyone who cannot afford a voter identification card should be provided one free of charge.
EQUALITY
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
It is a sign of the decline of the leaders of this nation that this is even debatable.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Coal
