QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
First, I believe this to be a sensitive subject between a woman and her doctor. Personally, I would never make this decision but as a human I'm sympathetic to thoughts on this matter from both sides. I believe the plan B pill should be more accessible as a practical solution upon conception. I would not vote for anything legally allowing a mother to have an elective abortion past the first trimester.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Neutral
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Agree
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
Private business and individuals should be free to do as they wish. In the same sentiment, people are also allowed to not associate with people or businesses they don't support. This is the beauty of free will and liberty.
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
Only if they have misused the tax code or misrepresent themselves as a charity. So aside from criminal or legal issues, I don't believe the state has the legal authority to say when any church can open or close.
NATIONAL SECURITY
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
I do believe our relationships with all other countries are important. However, I do not believe we should be supporting foreign wars or spending our taxpayer dollars outside of our own country, citizens, or issues.
HEALTHCARE
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
Healthcare professionals should be made to comply with up to date vaccinations for the safety of both the staff and the patients. However, vaccinations should never be required if they have not already been FDA approved and vetted for effectiveness.
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
C.Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary
ECONOMY
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
Choose not to answer
What is your position on the minimum wage?
I believe the market should dictate wages. A 15 yr old at a first job is different from an adult with learned experience or skill. I do believe the minimum wage should be higher, especially for tipped positions as that wage hasn't changed since 1966.
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
As a Libertarian, I am a strong advocate for personal and private property rights. The less government intervention the better. Less taxes and government regulation frees up personal income and property to stimulate our economy. I am in favor of no taxes on primary residences, personal cars, or personal income. I believe the more people keep of their own efforts the better.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
EDUCATION
I support a constitutional amendment that would allow Kentucky’s General Assembly to set up a school choice program to allow dollars to follow children to the school of their choice.
Agree
While I did vote yes on this amendment, the clear overwhelming vote showed the population against this. JCPS needs to be held accountable and broken into smaller districts with more transparency and oversight. Smaller districts would give more representation on school boards and more local engagement. JCPS also has been completely unwilling to approve any charter schools in Louisville since that law has passed. I would propose beginning charter schools and capping student enrollment at 25,000.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.
Disagree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
I believe in background checks and some safety measures. But the second amendment is crucial to maintaining a free country.
Faculty who are licensed to carry and have had ongoing training should be allowed to carry guns at school in order to respond to an active shooter situation.
Strongly Agree
Absolutely. If there was known protection at each school, I believe the mentally ill would not make schools an easy target for their actions.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
Do you support the expansion of gambling in Kentucky?

ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
Did not answer
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
no
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
no
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Lean Conservative
I would consider myself a fiscal and economic conservative. I am a huge advocate for the constitution and original founding. Socially, I'm more liberal. Personal freedoms and liberties are the most important things to protect in this country.
VALUES
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Disagree
The rights we already have in place are for every citizen in this country.
Parental rights are a fundamental right, and parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.
Agree
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from harm, including from gender ideology and bodily mutilation.
Agree
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I would consider myself a Christian still on my journey to full faith.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Disagree
The first evidence of marriage in history is not from the bible. I do believe it to be a sacred and legal union however; citizens in this country should be able to love and combine lives with whoever they please. Marriage according to the government is a legal contract combining assets and choosing your legal partner. Any human should be allowed to do that with who they please.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Disagree
States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.
Strongly Disagree
EQUALITY
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
I support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
Neutral
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Disagree
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Natural gas, oil, clean coal, hydro-electricity, solar and wind are all reliable sources of energy we should be utilizing.
Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.
