OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

Rape, Medical emergency

Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Strongly Agree

There is no such thing as a "safe drug" that kills baby's

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Neutral

Once you go down that road there is no turning back. but there are rare instances where it should be, "not illegal."

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What is your position on the minimum wage?

When I was 14 years old, My dad wanted me to work for him as an apprentice. That was fine with me, but Mom said NO. You will pay him 25 cents an hour. I guess that was minimum wage.

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

No

I wouldn't say they should be ignored, but they should not be a critical factor.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

Never

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Disagree

There could be exceptions. For example, if you are a monopoly, your specialty service cannot be obtained elsewhere a court order might be necessary.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

I would tend to agree with D because the medical community has abused the system. But we cannot and will not abandon health care for anyone in the United States. Including illegal immigrants, especially children. Just keep the two separate. If you can afford cosmetic surgery fine, but I don't want to pay for it with tax dollars.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

Five years ago that would have been an easy question to answer. COVID has shown the need for critical examination of the need to require vaccinations.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

China and America have historically been allies, yes, they have always stolen our intellectual property and have been a fierce competitor. We have never considered them a Threat before. I don't think the damage is irreparable, but a lot of trust has been lost.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

The United States I think is mostly responsible for the state of Israel. The situation is more complicated than I can comprehend, but we cannot ever abandon peace keeping efforts in the middle east.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Agree

From what I understand, the southern border is currently secure. My solution would be to annex Mexico into the United States, but that's not a popular position. We cannot have people crossing into the US, committing crimes and returning to Mexico to hide.

EDUCATION

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.

Agree

I grew up under the public school system. It was probably the best system in the world. Parents who had money or gifted children could send their children to private schools, and a few parents homeschooled their children. That is not the case today. More and more parents are disillusioned with public schools. I am really not in favor of giving parents money to NOT send their children to school. Private schools should be reimbursed some money for students that a public school no longer serv

VALUES

Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.

Strongly Agree

I am a strong supporter of Parental rights which is why I support the "Parentalrights Foundation" but not to the extent that I would support a constitutional amendment.

Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.

Strongly Agree

I am a very strong believer in parental rights, however as with many of the decisions that need to be made, there is a balance. We live in a society where regardless of parents beliefs children need to learn to adapt to the society around them. For instance we do not tolerate bullies in our schools even when their parents believe their children are above the rules.

Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.

Strongly Disagree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Agree

It's not only god-ordained. it has been the foundation of society and our legal system. I do however believe that some legal services that have been excluded from gay couples should be redefined to be more inclusive. Just don't call it married.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I would consider myself a Constitutional Christan. All men are created equal, and everyone should be free to follow their religous beliefs. I follow Christ teaching and believe he was more than just a man. God created the heavens and earth, but doesn't say how he did it.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

maintaining voter integrity is a necessity.

States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.

Strongly Disagree

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Racism can be a threat, and it exist on both sides. Actually, there's more than two sides. The only time I see it as a threat is in the media. In everyday interactions I rarely see it in public.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.

A - I am a Scientist, and environmental science is one of my interests. I am disillusioned by many things that have been suggested in the name of Climate change. I could get behind an environmental law that could actually benefit America's future.

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

I believe that Nuclear energy is the only source that can supply our energy need. Does that mean that it is safe. No. Newer technology appears to be safe enough. different energy needs require different energy sources.

ABOUT YOU

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

To provide framework for laws and regulations to protect it's citizens, especially the most vulnerable. To establish basic infrastructure where it is economically not commercially viable, and where it is most economical.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

I do believe in regulations, but not protectionism. We already have some form of socialism. eg Military, police, fire departments, but as I have indicated balance must be maintained,

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

Strongly Disagree

Why would you redirect funds? Community programs are already funded.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Probably even less than the NRA proposes.

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

If they are adequately trained. Definitely should not be required to carry as some propose. Hand to hand combat training would be prefered.
