Separation of church and state means the government cannot establish an official religion or interfere with the free exercise of faith. It is a one way wall that protects religious liberty from government overreach not the other way around. People of faith should be free to live according to their beliefs in public and private life without government forcing them to violate their conscience.

Government has no right to force individuals or businesses to violate their deeply held moral or religious convictions. True freedom means live and let live. Compelled speech or service destroys liberty and tolerance. We must protect conscience rights for everyone.

No. Not in any way, shape or form.

Yes, I was convicted of a felony at age 20. Visiting my cousin in Tempe, Arizona, I heard a woman screaming and stopped a much larger man who was choking and beating her with her clothes ripped off. The woman later testified that I prevented her from being raped or killed. I accepted a plea deal after 4 months in custody. This happened many years ago. I have had a clean record since. It strengthened my commitment to protecting people, and I carry those same values of courage into this campaign

The primary goal of the criminal justice system must be to protect law abiding citizens by swiftly punishing criminals, preventing crime, and keeping dangerous offenders off our streets. It should focus on justice for victims, rehabilitation where possible, and ensuring criminals face real consequences. The system has strayed too far toward protecting criminals instead of Michigan families. We must restore common sense accountability.
