QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Neutral

What role should the school serve in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy?

Schools should provide a safe, confidential, and supportive environment for students facing a crisis pregnancy, connect them with trusted counselors and community resources, and help them stay on track academically. Decisions about medical care should remain with the student and their family, not the school.

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?

I support strong government funding for public education from Pre-K through high school, with targeted investments where needs are greatest early literacy, mental health, and school safety. College funding should focus on keeping community college and career training programs affordable, expanding dual-enrollment opportunities, and partnering with industry so students graduate ready for good jobs without crushing debt.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Teachers should be required to instruct students on mandated curriculum even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Disagree

EDUCATION

Abortion and gender-affirming providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.

Neutral

Schools should focus on academic instruction and student safety, not partner with outside providers to promote abortion or gender-affirming services. Families should guide these deeply personal decisions, and schools should respect parental rights while connecting students with general health and counseling resources when appropriate.

Consistent discipline creates a safe and orderly environment, which is essential for student learning.

Strongly Agree

Educators should give students a thorough education in America's founding documents and cultivate American patriotism.

Agree

Students should understand America’s founding documents and learn both our nation’s triumphs and struggles to build civic pride and prepare them to be engaged citizens.

I support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).

Neutral

While I believe all students deserve fairness and respect, I have concerns that many current DEI policies shift focus away from merit, free speech, or other core educational values. I support transparency, individual opportunity, and ensuring that efforts to be inclusive don’t override academic standards or parental input.

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Agree

Denver families, not Washington bureaucrats, should decide what our kids are learning. Local control means parents, teachers, and school boards working together to focus on literacy, safety, and accountability not one-size-fits-all mandates from D.C.

Please list in order the following priorities in relation to the role of a K-12 public school (omitting any that do not apply): American History, Art & Music, Civics, Critical Race Theory, Foreign Language, Gender Identity, Information Technology, Language Arts, Mathematics, Personal Finances, Physical Fitness, Political Activism, Science, Sexuality, Social Emotional Learning, Vocational Learning

1. Language Arts (Reading & Writing) – Foundational to all other learning. 2. Mathematics – Critical for problem-solving and future opportunities. 3. Science – Builds inquiry and prepares students for STEM careers. 4. Civics & American History – Teaches students how our government works, our founding documents, and how to engage as informed citizens. 5. Personal Finances – Financial literacy helps students graduate ready for real life. 6. Vocational Learning – Career and technical educatio

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child instead of the bureaucracy, through a program which allows parents the freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.

Agree

Which should students have: equity of outcomes or equality of opportunities?

Schools should guarantee every student access to excellent teachers, safe classrooms, and strong academics, so each child has the same chance to succeed. Our focus should be on removing barriers, not forcing identical outcomes, so students can achieve based on their effort, interests, and goals.

Which type of written parental consent should be obtained before students are taught courses such as Comprehensive Sex Education (CSE)? (A) Opt-In. (B) Opt-Out. (C) None.

A) Parents should give written permission before their child participates in Comprehensive Sex Educa

VALUES

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a person of faith who believes every child is created with purpose and potential. My values are rooted in service, compassion, and accountability, guiding my commitment to strong schools, safe communities, and opportunities for all families to thrive.

Who is responsible for teaching sexual education to children, and what is the appropriate age when it should be taught?

Parents should be the primary educators when it comes to sexual education. Schools can play a supportive role, but any instruction should require parental consent, be age-appropriate, and focus on health and safety rather than ideology. Basic health and puberty education can begin in upper elementary grades, with more detailed instruction in middle and high school, always with family involvement.

If you support the teaching of Sex Ed, please answer the following question: Sexual education should include these topics (list all that apply and add your own, if needed) -- abortion methods and side effects; abstinence; consent; contraceptive methods; human anatomy/the reproductive system; physical and emotional health outcomes; sex acts and pleasures of sex; sexual orientation and gender identity; stages of pregnancy and fetal development

Abstinence – as the healthiest choice for avoiding pregnancy and STIs. Consent – teaching respect and personal boundaries is essential. Human anatomy / reproductive system – age-appropriate science instruction. Stages of pregnancy and fetal development – factual, life-affirming education. Basic physical and emotional health outcomes – focus on well-being and safety.

Children have a right to reach maturity without chemical or surgical castration, which would damage their healthy bodies through surgeries and may cause a life-long dependence on cross-sex hormones.

Agree

Children should be protected from irreversible medical interventions that could harm their healthy development. Schools should focus on supporting students emotionally and academically, while major medical decisions remain with parents and healthcare professionals.

Children have the right to be protected from sexual grooming (including drag shows and explicit materials) in schools and libraries.

Strongly Agree

Schools and libraries should be safe spaces for learning. Children must be protected from sexually explicit content or events, and parents should be fully informed about what materials and programs are available.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman essential to the formation and sustaining of a civil and prosperous society.

Neutral

Parents have the fundamental right to raise their child in accordance with their beliefs and values, including the right to make decisions about the child's education and healthcare.

Strongly Agree

Parents should have full and timely access to any and all records, including school and medical records, associated with their minor children.

Strongly Agree

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

Voting is a sacred right, and requiring photo identification is a commonsense safeguard to ensure fair and secure elections while maintaining trust in the process.

EQUALITY

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

Women and girls deserve fair competition and privacy in sports and single-sex spaces. Policies should protect biological women’s opportunities, safety, and dignity.

2ND AMENDMENT

Faculty who are licensed to carry and have had ongoing training should be allowed to carry guns at school in order to respond to an active shooter situation.

Agree

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

In the event of a pandemic, school districts can mandate whatever health precautions they deem necessary (including masks and vaccines) to protect students and staff.

Disagree

Health decisions such as masking and vaccination should be left to parents and families. Schools should provide guidance and options, not blanket mandates that override individual choice.
