QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Choose not to answer

What role should the school serve in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy?

Schools should help students thrive in any way possible.

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Choose not to answer

What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?

I think the government should assist those who don’t otherwise have the means to pursue education.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Teachers should be required to instruct students on mandated curriculum even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Agree

Experts in curriculum areas should design curriculum and teachers should teach it.

EDUCATION

Abortion and gender-affirming providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.

Agree

I believe everyone has the right to live the life they choose and every student should be supported in school.

Consistent discipline creates a safe and orderly environment, which is essential for student learning.

Disagree

Consistent rules and expectations will create a safe and orderly environnent. Consistent discipline will create angry and disengaged students.

Educators should give students a thorough education in America's founding documents and cultivate American patriotism.

Disagree

Students should certainly learn our history, including our founding documents but how patriotic one wants to be should be up to the individual

I support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).

Strongly Agree

We are a diverse nation and being able to live along side those who are different is an essential life skill for students.

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Disagree

There needs to federal oversight on education to ensure every student has a chance to be successful

Please list in order the following priorities in relation to the role of a K-12 public school (omitting any that do not apply): American History, Art & Music, Civics, Critical Race Theory, Foreign Language, Gender Identity, Information Technology, Language Arts, Mathematics, Personal Finances, Physical Fitness, Political Activism, Science, Sexuality, Social Emotional Learning, Vocational Learning

It’s not possible to create a ranked list as everyone has different areas of interest. I will say the core classes: Math, Language Arts, Science, and History should be at the top of any list.

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child instead of the bureaucracy, through a program which allows parents the freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.

Strongly Disagree

Which should students have: equity of outcomes or equality of opportunities?

Equity of opportunity. I believe everyone student should be given the tools to be successful. What they do with those opportunities is up to the individual.

Which type of written parental consent should be obtained before students are taught courses such as Comprehensive Sex Education (CSE)? (A) Opt-In. (B) Opt-Out. (C) None.

B. This should be offered but not all students are mature enough to learn it at the same age.

VALUES

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a practicing Catholic

Who is responsible for teaching sexual education to children, and what is the appropriate age when it should be taught?

All students need sexual education. Parents should have the first opportunity to talk with their kids, but if they don’t, the schools need to provide it. I think it should be done by the end of 9th grade.

If you support the teaching of Sex Ed, please answer the following question: Sexual education should include these topics (list all that apply and add your own, if needed) -- abortion methods and side effects; abstinence; consent; contraceptive methods; human anatomy/the reproductive system; physical and emotional health outcomes; sex acts and pleasures of sex; sexual orientation and gender identity; stages of pregnancy and fetal development

I think sex Ed should be limited to science, pregnancy, and disease prevention topics

Children have a right to reach maturity without chemical or surgical castration, which would damage their healthy bodies through surgeries and may cause a life-long dependence on cross-sex hormones.

Choose not to answer

Not relevant to my school board campaign

Children have the right to be protected from sexual grooming (including drag shows and explicit materials) in schools and libraries.

Disagree

This comes down to what one considers grooming. I don’t think drag shows qualifies but I would not advocate for explicit materials to be available in schools either.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman essential to the formation and sustaining of a civil and prosperous society.

Strongly Disagree

It is 2025. Marry whoever you love. It doesn’t affect anyone else.

Parents have the fundamental right to raise their child in accordance with their beliefs and values, including the right to make decisions about the child's education and healthcare.

Strongly Disagree

If a parent does not like public schools, there are other options available to them. At no time should a child’s health be endangered because of a parent’s beliefs.

Parents should have full and timely access to any and all records, including school and medical records, associated with their minor children.

Strongly Agree

If a parent entrusts a school to educate their child, they should have access to their school records until age 18.

2ND AMENDMENT

Faculty who are licensed to carry and have had ongoing training should be allowed to carry guns at school in order to respond to an active shooter situation.
