QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Agree
What role should the school serve in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy?
As a conservative, I believe in fostering personal responsibility while also showing compassion and support to students facing challenges—including unwanted pregnancy. Schools should partner with families, healthcare professionals, and community organizations to ensure students receive factual information, counseling options, and support to continue their education. I support parental involvement, character education, and age-appropriate health instruction that promotes abstinence while acknowledging the realities students may face. We should work to create an environment where no student feels ashamed or abandoned—but instead is empowered to make responsible choices and stay on track for success.
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Agree
What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?
As a Republican, I believe in strong, accountable public education that prepares students for success in life and the workforce. Government funding plays a vital role in supporting our public schools—from Pre-K through high school—by ensuring that every child has access to a quality education, regardless of their background. I support targeted investment in early childhood education, especially for at-risk students, because the foundation we build in the early years pays off long-term.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Teachers should be required to instruct students on mandated curriculum even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Agree
The curriculum is mandated by the state. When you become a public school teacher, we have a responsibility to teach what the state directs. If the curriculum is something you’re against, then private sector schools are where you should teach.
EDUCATION
Abortion and gender-affirming providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.
Strongly Disagree
Consistent discipline creates a safe and orderly environment, which is essential for student learning.
Strongly Agree
Educators should give students a thorough education in America's founding documents and cultivate American patriotism.
Strongly Agree
I support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
Disagree
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Agree

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child instead of the bureaucracy, through a program which allows parents the freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.
Strongly Disagree
Which should students have: equity of outcomes or equality of opportunities?
As a Republican, I believe strongly in equality of opportunities, not equity of outcomes. Our public schools should provide every student—regardless of background—with the tools, resources, and support they need to succeed. But we must also respect individual effort, responsibility, and achievement. Equality of opportunity means giving all students access to a high-quality education, qualified teachers, safe learning environments, and the chance to rise based on their talents and hard work.
Which type of written parental consent should be obtained before students are taught courses such as Comprehensive Sex Education (CSE)? (A) Opt-In. (B) Opt-Out. (C) None.
A
VALUES
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
As a Christian and a conservative, my spiritual beliefs are the foundation of who I am—personally, professionally, and in public service. I believe in one God, the Creator of all things, who sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to be our Savior. My faith teaches me the importance of truth, grace, humility, and servant leadership. It’s not something I turn off in the public square—it guides how I treat others, how I raise my family, and how I make decisions that affect the community. I believe the Bible is God’s Word—eternal, unchanging, and full of wisdom for every generation. It teaches us to love our neighbor, care for the vulnerable, stand for justice, and speak truth even when it’s unpopular. It also teaches us that every person matters!
Who is responsible for teaching sexual education to children, and what is the appropriate age when it should be taught?
As a parent and someone who believes deeply in the importance of family, I feel strongly that conversations about sex education should begin at home. I believe it’s the role of parents — not schools — to introduce these sensitive topics in a way that reflects their family’s values, beliefs, and timing. That doesn’t mean schools can’t play a role in health education, especially when it comes to basic information about the human body, development, and safety. But when we start getting into topics like sexual relationships, gender identity, or anything beyond the basics, I think parents need to be fully informed and involved — and that means giving written permission before a child is enrolled in any sex education course. Personally, I support an opt-in model for these kinds of classes. That way, parents can decide what’s appropriate for their child based on their maturity, family beliefs, and readiness for the conversation. Every family is different, and we should respect that. As far as age goes, I think puberty and reproductive health can be introduced in upper elementary or middle school, when kids are naturally starting to have questions and changes are happening. But even then, it should be presented in a factual, age-appropriate way — not from a political or ideological perspective. I also believe we should be teaching kids about self-respect, personal responsibility, and healthy relationships. Messages around abstinence and setting boundaries should still be part of the conversation. Just because a topic is discussed doesn’t mean we normalize all behaviors as equal or inevitable. At the end of the day, I want to see a partnership between parents and schools — where educators keep families informed, provide access to all curriculum materials, and allow parents to make choices that are best for their children. That’s just common sense. We all want what’s best for our kids — and that starts with keeping parents in the driver’s seat.
If you support the teaching of Sex Ed, please answer the following question: Sexual education should include these topics (list all that apply and add your own, if needed) -- abortion methods and side effects; abstinence; consent; contraceptive methods; human anatomy/the reproductive system; physical and emotional health outcomes; sex acts and pleasures of sex; sexual orientation and gender identity; stages of pregnancy and fetal development
See my answer to question 2.
Children have a right to reach maturity without chemical or surgical castration, which would damage their healthy bodies through surgeries and may cause a life-long dependence on cross-sex hormones.
Strongly Agree
Children have the right to be protected from sexual grooming (including drag shows and explicit materials) in schools and libraries.
Strongly Agree
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman essential to the formation and sustaining of a civil and prosperous society.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
In the event of a pandemic, school districts can mandate whatever health precautions they deem necessary (including masks and vaccines) to protect students and staff.
Neutral
I agree with mandates; however, vaccinations should be left to the parent’s discretion, and the student shouldn’t be penalized for those choices.
