QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

That should be decided between the provider and the patient. The government should not get involved in medical procedures.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Disagree

Medical care should be available to all people. Lower income patients should not suffer because healthcare is to expensive.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Choose not to answer

This is a topic I do not have enough education on. I can see the arguments for both sides and prefer not to answer.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Agree

Public sector and medical jobs should be able to put aside their personal beliefs and care for all citizens. A doctor's religious beliefs should not prevent a patient from receiving care. Any job that receives government contracts should also be required to remain religiously neutral. These jobs serve all citizens, not just the ones they associate with. Religious-specific businesses, such as a Christian bookstore, should be allowed to carry religious-specific products.

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

When a church violates the 501(c3) restrictions, the government should be allowed to revoke their non-profit status. If a church violates it's members rights and freedoms, then the church should be classified as a cult and closed to protect members from financial, spiritual, and physical dangers. Religious freedom is important, but so is protecting people from predatory cult leaders.

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

Did not answer

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

B) The current private sector system leaves many people with medical debt that leads to financial ruin. While working several jobs, families end up paying excessive costs for basic care. A healthy population is beneficial and reduces the strain on medical facilities. When people cannot afford care, they will delay seeing a professional until it is an emergency. This overburdens ERs, costs patients more, and increases medical debt.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

Medical professionals, educators, and public centered professions should be vaccinated to protect the vulnerable in society. Some people have weak immune systems due to medical condition or are to young for vaccines. They should be protected.

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

Any company that is making millions in profits should be excluded from tax write-offs and must pay the full tax required by law. We should also return to the tax code of 90% that was implemented between 1944 and 1963. The argument that "high taxes will drive away business" is a false narrative. Trickle-down economics doesn't work. The country could pay off its debt and benefit more people very easily if we taxed millionaires and billionaires fairly.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

I would reduce any spending for contracts that do not fulfill their promised completion date. I also would cut military spending. Not to the point of danger for the country, but remove excessive spending.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Agree

An educated population is beneficial to the country. How many promising doctors or inventors are missed due to being born in the wrong socio-economic class? We should be encouraging people to pursue their full potential.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Did not answer

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
