Please list up to three issues or projects that you think need the most attention.
Crime, Homelessness and Jobs. As a career lawman, I have a proven track record for fighting crime and protecting our communities. Albuquerque has been plagued by a relentless, unchecked crime crisis for eight years. I have the experience and leadership to take back our streets. Unlike Mayor Keller, I oppose homeless tent encampments and will address the homeless crisis with policies that work. The Keller Administration has refused to address the homeless problem, resulting in Albuquerque’s streets, parks, and public spaces being overrun by the growing homelessness crisis. Once places for families and children, our playgrounds have become battlegrounds of crime, open drug use, and chaos. I will end the tent encampments on day one. Businesses have been overwhelmed by crime and vandalism - struggling to survive under a city government that has failed to protect them. I know a strong economy start with small businesses. As mayor, businesses will have a partner that stands by their side.
