QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

What role should the school serve in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy?

The school's main job is to educate, but when a student is in crisis, we can't ignore it. If a student is facing an unwanted pregnancy, we should connect them with trusted community resources and a strong mentor, someone who values life and can help them move forward. It is not the school's role to step into personal decisions, but we can make sure students feel supported and still have a path to finish school and succeed. Compassion and guidance matter.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Teachers should be required to instruct students on mandated curriculum even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

No one should be forced to violate their moral or religious convictions. This is why it is imperative to keep the curriculum focused on academics, not ideology. Parents and communities should have a voice in what is taught, and teachers should not be put in a position where their values are compromised.

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?

Free enterprise and private properity drive innovation and opportunity in our country. At the same time, a strong K-12 education system is essential for preparing students to succeed in a free market economy. Public Schools should focus on academics and be efficient with taxpayer dollars, giving kids the tools to build a better future without expanding government beyond its core role.

EDUCATION

Abortion and gender-affirming providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.

Strongly Disagree

Consistent discipline creates a safe and orderly environment, which is essential for student learning.

Strongly Agree

Educators should give students a thorough education in America's founding documents and cultivate American patriotism.

Strongly Agree

I support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).

Strongly Disagree

Schools and workplaces should reflect the reality of our communities and our economy, while focusing on fairness, excellence, and unity. I do not support DEI as an ideology, but I do support fair, opportunity-driven programs that help all students succeed. Everyone should have equal access to opportunity and fair treatment.

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

I support returning control to the states and local communities. As a local school board member, we must focus on education results. Local control allows schools to focus on what matters most: student achievement, parental involvement, and fiscal responsibility.

Please list in order the following priorities in relation to the role of a K-12 public school (omitting any that do not apply): American History, Art & Music, Civics, Critical Race Theory, Foreign Language, Gender Identity, Information Technology, Language Arts, Mathematics, Personal Finances, Physical Fitness, Political Activism, Science, Sexuality, Social Emotional Learning, Vocational Learning

Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, American History, Civics, Personal Finances, Vocational Learning, Information Technology, Art & Music, Physical Fitness, Foreign Language.

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child instead of the bureaucracy, through a program which allows parents the freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.

Strongly Agree

I believe education funding should follow the student, giving families the freedom to choose the best learning environment for their child. Public schools should be a top-quality option, and I am committed to making them strong and effective. But every child is different, and parents should have the opportunity to choose what works best, whether that is public, private, or homeschool. Our goal should always be student success.

Which should students have: equity of outcomes or equality of opportunities?

Every child deserves a fair shot through access to quality education, but outcomes should be earned through effort, responsibility, and support, not guaranteed. Our focus should be on lifting all students by giving them the tools to succeed.

Which type of written parental consent should be obtained before students are taught courses such as Comprehensive Sex Education (CSE)? (A) Opt-In. (B) Opt-Out. (C) None.

A - Opt-In. Sensitive topics require clear communication and respect for family values.

2ND AMENDMENT

Faculty who are licensed to carry and have had ongoing training should be allowed to carry guns at school in order to respond to an active shooter situation.

Agree

School safety is a high priority, and trained staff can be part of a comprehensive plan to respond quickly and effectively in a crisis.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

In the event of a pandemic, school districts can mandate whatever health precautions they deem necessary (including masks and vaccines) to protect students and staff.

Strongly Disagree

I strongly disagree with allowing school districts to mandate health precautions like masks and vaccines without limits. During covid, we saw that broad mandates often created more harm than good, disrupting learning, undermining parental rights, and eroding trust. Health decisions should be made by families, not forced by schools, and any response should be balanced, data-driven, and respectful of individual freedoms.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

I am a Conservative who believes in a common-sense approach to government. I support limited government, personal responsibility, strong families, and local control, always guided by practical solutions that put people before politics.

VALUES

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a sinner saved by grace. I believe in Jesus Christ as my Savior, who paid the price for my sins. I am a Christian and have attended the same church for almost 20 years, where my faith continues to guide my values, decisions, and service to others.

Who is responsible for teaching sexual education to children, and what is the appropriate age when it should be taught?

Parents are the primary educators when it comes to sexual education. Schools should respect that role and only supplement with age-appropriate, factual content, with full transparency and parental consent. Sensitive topics should NOT be introduced in elementary schools.

If you support the teaching of Sex Ed, please answer the following question: Sexual education should include these topics (list all that apply and add your own, if needed) -- abortion methods and side effects; abstinence; consent; contraceptive methods; human anatomy/the reproductive system; physical and emotional health outcomes; sex acts and pleasures of sex; sexual orientation and gender identity; stages of pregnancy and fetal development

If sex ed is taught in schools, it should be age-appropriate, medically accurate, and focused on responsibility. I can support the following topics with full parental transparency and written opt-in consent: Abstinence, Consent, Human anatomy and the reproductive system, Contraceptive methods (not promoted), Physical and emotional health outcomes, Stages of pregnancy and fetal development. I do not support the inclusion of content on sex acts, pleasures of sex, or ideologically driven topics like gender identity or sexual orientation. Abortion should be handled with care, focusing on factual medical information and side effects, both physically and mentally, it should never include advocacy.

Children have a right to reach maturity without chemical or surgical castration, which would damage their healthy bodies through surgeries and may cause a life-long dependence on cross-sex hormones.

Strongly Agree

Children have the right to be protected from sexual grooming (including drag shows and explicit materials) in schools and libraries.

Strongly Agree

Schools should be safe places focused on learning, not exposing children to adult themes.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman essential to the formation and sustaining of a civil and prosperous society.

Strongly Agree

Parents have the fundamental right to raise their child in accordance with their beliefs and values, including the right to make decisions about the child's education and healthcare.

Strongly Agree

Parents should have full and timely access to any and all records, including school and medical records, associated with their minor children.

Strongly Agree

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

Requiring a photo ID is a commonsense measure that helps ensure fair and secure elections. This is a reasonable expectation.

EQUALITY

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

Protecting fairness, safety, and privacy for women and girls is common sense and rooted in biological reality.
