VALUES

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I was raised Catholic and continue to attend Mass regularly, which has provided me with a strong foundation of values and morals that guide me in my daily life. My faith emphasizes compassion, service to others, and a commitment to integrity, which I strive to carry into both my personal and professional decisions. While I don’t view myself as overly rigid or fanatical, my spirituality grounds me and helps me maintain perspective. At its core, my belief system is about living with kindness, treating others with respect, and working to make a positive impact in my community.

ABOUT YOU

No.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No.

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

The general purpose of government is to provide structure, stability, and protection for society as a whole. At its foundation, government exists to safeguard the rights and freedoms of individuals while maintaining order through laws and systems of justice. It also plays a critical role in ensuring public safety, managing shared resources, and creating opportunities for economic and social development. Beyond those basics, government serves as a means of collective decision-making.

Candidates and officeholders should be required to disclose all business investments and real estate, whether in the city or in an area currently proposed for annexation.

Please list your business investments and/or real estate, whether within the city or in an area currently proposed for annexation.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to immigration and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Moderate

I would describe myself as someone who approaches issues with a balanced, level-headed perspective. On economic and social matters, I believe in fairness, opportunity, and supporting families and communities. I also value religious liberty and respect for individual freedoms. I try to consider both sides of an issue and seek practical, compassionate solutions that serve the common good.

I voted in these primaries and general elections:

2014 General Election 2016 General Election 2018 General Election 2020 General Election 2022 General Election

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

Neutral

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I believe we need fair but stricter gun safety laws, not to take rights away from responsible gun owners, but to protect people and prevent tragedies. Public safety should always come first. Reasonable measures—such as stronger background checks, safe storage requirements, and keeping firearms out of the hands of those who pose a danger to themselves or others—are common-sense steps that can save lives. These kinds of safeguards respect the rights of law-abiding citizens.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Disagree

LOCAL

I support annual financial audits of every city department by an independent, third party auditor.

Agree

Please list up to three issues or projects that you think need the most attention.

Public Safety & Gun Responsibility – Supporting fair but stronger gun safety measures and community-based initiatives to ensure families feel safe at school, in worship, and in their neighborhoods. Infrastructure & Growth – Investing in roads, sidewalks, and smart development to keep Overland Park a thriving, accessible, and business-friendly community. Fiscal Responsibility & Community Services – Making sure tax dollars are used wisely to balance strong city services with responsible budgeting that respects residents and businesses.
