QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I am 100% pro-life.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

Taxpayer dollars should never in any possible way be allocated to a provider or organization that provides abortions.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

I do not support the legalization of assisted suicide or euthanasia.

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

The tax code should be changed to reduce the tax burden on our small business owners as well as the individual. I do not support and would never support any degree of tax increase.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

In order to balance the budget, the government should reduce excess spending that provides no results or benefits. A perfect example would be the steps that Elon Musk and DOGE are taking at the federal level.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

Taxpayer-funded public education should not be guaranteed through college. College is not the best fit for every student who graduates high school. If a student wants to pursue college, they can pay for it themselves, apply for grants and scholarships, or take out student loans, which they must pay back.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Individuals and businesses should never be forced to violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

There is no circumstance whatsoever that the government should ever be allowed to violate our religious liberties and close our churches.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

Option C most closely resembles my view on healthcare. Medicaid and Medicare should be available, but that is as far as the government should go in healthcare.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

Only in circumstances where required by law and allowing for due process. Exemptions should be available for those with religious objections or conflicting medical conditions.

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

The United States should use its military strength and technical advantage to fully eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism wherever it takes hold.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Strongly Disagree

I do not support in any way, shape, or form the BDS movement. Israel is our ally in the Middle East, and they have the absolute right to defend themselves from their neighbors who desire nothing more than to commit genocide and wipe them out.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

Absolutely, the United States should do everything that it can possibly do to secure our Southern border from any and all illegal crossings.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Anyone who is not an identified threat or enemy of the United States should have the opportunity to immigrate to the United States, BUT they must follow every single one of our immigration laws and procedures or face deportation.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Strongly Agree

I strongly support school choice, voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and homeschooling. Parents have the right to school and raise their children in the way they see fit. The government has no place in deciding the method of the child's education.

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

Our nation was founded on the strong values and morals of the Judeo-Christian faith. To stray away from these values and morals does nothing be encourage a decline of our country and our children.

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

I would propose a law that would change present voting practices to eliminate the 45 days of early voting in Virginia. I also would propose a law to reinstate a mandatory photo ID requirement in order to vote.

EQUALITY

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

I do not agree with CRT at all and it should be rooted out and eliminated from every lesson plan in the Commonwealth.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

No. Racism is not a threat to domestic security in the United States. We have legitimate threats to domestic security, like the millions of illegals that the Biden Administration has allowed to invade our country during the last four years.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

Reparations should not be given out to people on the basis of race.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

My view is closest to A, needlessly stricter laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy at an unnecessary level.

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Strongly Agree

I do support the use of hydraulic fracturing to extract oil and natural gas.

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

The general purpose of government is to maintain order, protect citizens, and promote the general welfare.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

I have been and always will be a staunch conservative who will represent our Southwest Virginia values in Richmond.

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

Did not answer

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

My legislative priorities will be ones that benefit the people of the 46th District and Southwest Virginia. I will champion commonsense and conservative legislation.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Strongly Agree

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Only in cases where individuals have been convicted of violent crimes (felonies), are illicit drug users, or those with dangerous mental health conditions. I believe due process in a court of law must be provided in all cases wherein an individual’s ability to own guns is taken away or limited. I do not support so-called “red flag” laws which often come with delayed or no due process protections.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Strongly Disagree

Firearm dealers and manufacturers carry no responsibility for what occurs with the weapons that they make, and the laws should not be changed to facilitate any such lawsuits.
