QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.
Choose not to answer
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Choose not to answer
ECONOMY
I support using taxpayer funds to lobby the state legislature and/or U.S. Congress.
Agree
It is the responsibility of city government to provide subsidized housing at taxpayer expense.
Disagree
Property taxes should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
Until another funding mechanism is identified, property taxes should not be abolished as it is the primary funding mechanism for public safety and other essential community services.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Government should not discriminate against individuals, organizations, or business owners who affirm marriage as between one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
I firmly believe in the First Amendment, all Americans have the right to freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly, and petition.
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Neutral
Religious liberty is a protection under our First Amendment rights. It should continue to be protected and Americans should have the right to choose and advocate for their religion.
IMMIGRATION
City officials should have the right to proclaim their city a sanctuary city for illegal aliens.
Disagree
Our immigration policies and procedures are broken. As a country, we need to commit to improving the pathway of helping good people who are searching for a better life. Illegal immigration is illegal. Cities should not have the power and capacity to harbor individuals who are violating our laws.
VALUES
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe in a Creator who has instilled in us both a capacity for good and evil. I believe that most people try to lead good moral lives in the spirit of the golden rule; "Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you." I believe that character and integrity matter.
Children have the right to be protected from sexually explicit materials in publicly funded libraries, including school libraries.
Strongly Agree
As a parent of two grade school children in FISD public schools, I support the management of sexually explicit materials that children may come into directly without parental consent. There are regulations in regards to what may air on public television channels, it should be no different for our schools and libraries.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
I believe that a government issued photo ID should be required to vote.
All filings by candidates for municipal office, including ballot application and campaign finance reports, should be available for public online access on the city website within 24 hours of filing deadline.
Agree
Ballot measures which include bond issues should fully disclose both the potential tax rate increase and actual monetary increase for the average single family residence.
Agree
EQUALITY
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
I believe that every individual should have the right to choose and be whoever they want to be. Everyone should receive equal and fair opportunity to forge their own path. Nonetheless, I do believe that a biologically born male does have a physical advantage compared to a biologically born female. Therefore, biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports. I believe that the use of facilities pertaining to gender identification should be dependent upon anatomy criteria.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) instruction should be required for all city employees.
Agree
I believe we should embrace and celebrate our community’s diversity through city programming for both staff and residents. The more we know and understand about the diversity within our community, the more united we will be.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Taxpayers should subsidize green initiatives such as electric vehicle charging stations.
Neutral

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to immigration and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Moderate
Let us not seek the Republican answer or the Democratic answer but the right answer.
I voted in these primaries and general elections:
2014 Republican Primary 2014 General Election 2016 Republican Primary 2016 General Election 2018 Republican Primary 2018 General Election 2020 Republican Primary 2020 General Election 2022 Republican Primary 2022 General Election
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.
Strongly Disagree
Public safety should be the top priority for a community. City budgets should begin their allocation process with first evaluating their funding for Police, Fire and Public Works. Upon those departments being adequately funded, leadership should then address the remaining budget items.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
I believe in our Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. We must also find a solution to identify and mitigate at risk individuals who plan to carry out mass shootings and or acts of terror.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Neutral
As marijuana is a natural plant I support the legalization of it for medicinal use. To extend that to recreational use I would need to do additional research on the subject.
LOCAL
I support annual financial audits of every city department by an independent, third party auditor.
Strongly Agree
I am an advocate for transparency and I support the City of Frisco’s current auditing process.
Please list up to three issues or projects that you think need the most attention.
1) Long tenured leadership that is terming out. 2) Completing projects in progress such as; The Mix, Toyota Stadium Renovation, Grand Park, The Stix Icehouse, Universal Park & Resort, Northwest Park and if approved by voters, the Center for the Arts. 3) Integration of artificial intelligence to solve traffic congestion and improve response time for first responders.
