QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

I do not believe elective abortion is moral and should be dissuaded at all times.

Does the federal government have a role to play in limiting abortion, and if so what federal steps and/or federal legislation would you support?

The Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v Wade was correct. The abortion issue is not a delegated power of the United States and should be decided by the states. That being said, this is not a problem that can be solved legislatively. We can only create a culture where abortion is unthinkable.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

Primarily this means the government should not interfere with the free exercise of religion.(see the first amendment) This free exercise also includes the ability to make decisions based on your religious beliefs even while serving in government.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

I oppose the initiation of force to achieve political or social goals.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

John Quincy Adams said "America goes not abroad in search of monsters to destroy". After the global war on terror we are trillions in debt and the world is no better than it was a quarter century ago. Intervening in and arguably causing conflict abroad has not served us well.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

The economic threats that China poses are the most serious and need to be our main focus. A massive manufacturing reshoring effort needs to be made to mitigate the threat.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Of course it important to have good relations with Israel. We need as many friends around the world as we can get.

What are the causes of decline in U.S. military recruitment and retention?

The military, since the Clinton administration, has become a place where social policies are tested. The ultimate purpose of the military is to kill people and break things and not to be a safe space for nonconformists.

HEALTHCARE

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

Did not answer

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

I lean most closely to D but I will expand on that. Your employer should also be barred from providing insurance as part of a compensation package. If you choose to have health insurance it should be as portable as your car insurance. This would eliminate the problem of preexisting conditions and lapses in coverage. Also healthcare is more than who pays the bill it's about good health.

ECONOMY

What actions would you take that would allow Americans to retain more of their income and wealth?

I am a supporter of the Fair Tax bill which has been introduced in the house and if elected I will vote in favor of it. This is the best tax plan to bring about a balanced budget and reduce inflation.

Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.

Strongly Agree

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

No

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

Along with the physical security barriers policies that disincentivize migration will return immigration to a more manageable level.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Anyone who wants to place themselves under the jurisdiction of the US and integrate into an American way of life should be welcome. When someone wishes to immigrate to the US they should have a support system in place prior to their arrival including a job and a place to live.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Strongly Agree

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

The only limit to your second amendment rights should come after you have been convicted of a serious violent crime.

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

The Supreme Court should be reformed to include more seats.

Disagree

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

When I was young I learned about libertarianism and the ideas resonated with me. Then I found Rush Limbaugh and Newt Gingrich talking about smaller government, personal freedom and fiscal responsibility. All of these sounded great so I started calling myself a libertarian republican. For a long time I voted for the republican party and waited for change that has never come. Now I want to play a part in regaining the liberty that makes us great.

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

The purpose of government is to maintain order and secure individual rights. To resolve disagreements between citizens with a common set of laws.

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No

VALUES

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.

Strongly Agree

Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am an Apostolic Pentecostal Christian and I believe in one God above all. I do my best to live a life that reflects well on my Savior and my church. I love the word of God and try to use it as the measure of how I'm doing day to day.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

In a smaller society where everyone knows each other it would be fine but we don't live there. We need proper ID and clean accurate voter registration rolls.

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

Our founders gave us a good system to prevent tyranny and it should remain as it is.

EQUALITY

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.

Disagree

If we want to reduce global emissions we should bring manufacturing home where we can keep a better watch on the production processes. Our paying more taxes won't change the temperature one way or the other.

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

A combination of nuclear and solar is the way that i see our energy needs being met in the short term. Advancements in nuclear energy production have made it safer with a smaller footprint for the facilities.
