QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Agree

This isn't a matter for school boards. This is a matter for the Wisconsin state legislature.

What role should the school serve in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy?

None. This is a family matter.

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

I feel very strongly that government has overstepped its Constitutional bounds in regards to businesses.

What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?

I do believe that we should have public funding of Pre-K through high school. Higher education is an investment that students and families should carefully consider. I do not believe the current student loan program serves students.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Teachers should be required to instruct students on mandated curriculum even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Neutral

It would depend on the religion and the curriculum. I disagree with the female rights issues in Islam, for example. I also disagree with pushing gender ideology and other radical views that would bypass parents. Maybe I don't understand the question.

EDUCATION

Abortion and gender-affirming providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.

Strongly Disagree

This is a family matter and has absolutely no place in public schools.

Consistent discipline creates a safe and orderly environment, which is essential for student learning.

Strongly Agree

Dangerous students should be removed from the school. Reasonable precautions should be taken to protect students. The most common source of injury in students is vehicles, and we should prioritize safety from traffic.

Do you believe print and digital material available or presented to students should be easily accessible for public review, including those without children enrolled in school?

Yes

Taxpayers and parents deserve to know what information is being given to students.

Educators should give students a thorough education in America's founding documents and cultivate American patriotism.

Strongly Agree

Students should have thorough knowledge of the U.S. Constitution and other founding documents.

I support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).

Strongly Disagree

Public schools are for the public to be treated equally. Grades and accolades should be merit based. Teachers should be hired based solely on ability.

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

It is very important that community leaders have a say in all factors of our schools from crafting geographically appropriate curriculum, dovetailing in with local higher education and local businesses, and working closely with community groups and non-profits.

Please list in order the following priorities in relation to the role of a K-12 public school (omitting any that do not apply): American History, Art & Music, Civics, Critical Race Theory, Foreign Language, Gender Identity, Information Technology, Language Arts, Mathematics, Personal Finances, Physical Fitness, Political Activism, Science, Sexuality, Social Emotional Learning, Vocational Learning

Civics, American History, Personal Finances, Language Arts, Art & Music, Mathematics, Science, Vocational Learning, Physical Fitness, Foreign Language, Information Technology While those are my current personal order, this order is something that has changed for me over time. For example, when I was a student, I thought Music and Art were not important, but in my career, I have needed those more than I have needed advanced math or science.

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child instead of the bureaucracy, through a program which allows parents the freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.

Strongly Agree

Competition is a foundation of America. Public schools become better when allowed to compete. That said, public schools should have more latitude to exclude students that are dangerous or disruptive, and that is an issues that should be addressed with voucher systems.

Which should students have: equity of outcomes or equality of opportunities?

Students and staff should have equality of opportunities.

Which type of written parental consent should be obtained before students are taught courses such as Comprehensive Sex Education (CSE)? (A) Opt-In. (B) Opt-Out. (C) None.

Opt-In

VALUES

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe Christian values are what built our country, and they are the basis of our Constitution and legal system. That said, I do believe in religious freedom as long as it can co-exist within traditional American values of freedom.

Who is responsible for teaching sexual education to children, and what is the appropriate age when it should be taught?

Generally parents should discuss sexual matters with their children, but biology should be taught in schools. I do not believe any sexual education should be discussed before middle school.

If you support the teaching of Sex Ed, please answer the following question: Sexual education should include these topics (list all that apply and add your own, if needed) -- abortion methods and side effects; abstinence; consent; contraceptive methods; human anatomy/the reproductive system; physical and emotional health outcomes; sex acts and pleasures of sex; sexual orientation and gender identity; stages of pregnancy and fetal development

abstinence; contraceptive methods; human anatomy/the reproductive system; physical and emotional health outcomes; stages of pregnancy and fetal development I do not think abortion needs to be discussed in K-12 schools. I do recognize that some parents are not equipped to talk about the science facts related to this topic, so there should be appropriate non-controversial information available to students.

Children have a right to reach maturity without chemical or surgical castration, which would damage their healthy bodies through surgeries and may cause a life-long dependence on cross-sex hormones.

Strongly Agree

Children have the right to be protected from sexual grooming (including drag shows and explicit materials) in schools and libraries.

Strongly Agree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman essential to the formation and sustaining of a civil and prosperous society.

Strongly Agree

I actually do not believe government should have anything to do with marriage.

Parents have the fundamental right to raise their child in accordance with their beliefs and values, including the right to make decisions about the child's education and healthcare.

Strongly Agree

Parents should have full and timely access to any and all records, including school and medical records, associated with their minor children.

Strongly Agree

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

EQUALITY

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

Faculty who are licensed to carry and have had ongoing training should be allowed to carry guns at school in order to respond to an active shooter situation.

Strongly Agree

In the event of a pandemic, school districts can mandate whatever health precautions they deem necessary (including masks and vaccines) to protect students and staff.
