RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
I agree that human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death. Human life is sacred and should be valued above all other forms of life. Legal protection ensures the dignity and sanctity of life are upheld, reflecting the belief that every human being has inherent worth and should be safeguarded throughout their entire lifespan.
What role should the school serve in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy?
The only role fit for the school is emotional counseling and assistance in finding further support within the family. Any further direction from ensuring the emotional well-being of the student is beyond the scope of a public institution. I do understand not every family is able to provide positive support so a path to outside support might be fair, but this comes with the risk subjecting a vulnerable person to the leanings of others. It is ultimately a personal matter.
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
Free enterprise has lifted more people out of poverty than any other economic system in history. The fruits of a person's labor should rightfully belong to them. Increased spending generates more jobs and opportunities for others. There exists a form of extractive capitalism, often a byproduct of excessive governmental regulation. While monopolies pose challenges, anti-trust laws have a purpose and must be handled with utmost care.
What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?
The current system is built this way, but there are certainly other paths to success. At this juncture, I believe the best option is the school voucher program, which encourages schools and teachers to compete based on performance and results. This allows parents to make informed choices by seeing the outcomes and selecting the most appropriate school for their children.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Teachers should be required to instruct students on mandated curriculum even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Disagree
Just like parental approval for sexual education, these issues are a civil rights matter. There should be an option to opt out and use the time to pursue other school-approved academic goals.
EDUCATION
Abortion and gender-affirming providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.
Disagree
These are personal matters and, as previously stated, any counseling provided that goes beyond stabilizing emotional support for the student oversteps the responsibility of a public institution.
Consistent discipline creates a safe and orderly environment, which is essential for student learning.
Strongly Agree
I strongly agree. Consistent discipline is vital for creating a safe and orderly environment, which is essential for effective student learning. It ensures that students understand expectations, feel secure, and can focus on their education without disruptions. This stability fosters a positive learning atmosphere and supports academic success.
Do you believe print and digital material available or presented to students should be easily accessible for public review, including those without children enrolled in school?
Yes
Yes, print and digital material available or presented to students should be easily accessible for public review, including those without children enrolled in school. This promotes transparency, allows parents to stay informed about their child's education, and ensures that the community can hold educational institutions accountable. Public access supports parental rights and fosters trust in the education system.
Educators should give students a thorough education in America's founding documents and cultivate American patriotism.
Strongly Agree
Educators should provide students with a thorough education in America's founding documents, such as the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. This not only informs students about the nation's history and principles but also cultivates American patriotism. Understanding these texts helps foster a sense of pride and respect for the nation's heritage, inspiring civic engagement and an appreciation for the values of liberty, justice, and democracy.
I support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
Neutral
I support recognizing and respecting the fact that people come from different backgrounds. It's essential to value diverse perspectives and experiences. At the same time, it's crucial to maintain meritocracy, ensuring that opportunities and recognition are based on individual merit and qualifications. This approach fosters a fair and inclusive environment while upholding high standards and appreciating each person's unique contributions and talents.
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Strongly Agree
The performance of students since its inception have consistently declined. It is obvious this institution does not function. Additionally, the overcentralizing of anything creates an inherent largess which makes responses cumbersome inhibiting nimble adaption to current and evolving education. As technology continues to evolve at an ever increasing rate, this sort of system will continually fall further behind.
Please list in order the following priorities in relation to the role of a K-12 public school (omitting any that do not apply): American History, Art & Music, Civics, Critical Race Theory, Foreign Language, Gender Identity, Information Technology, Language Arts, Mathematics, Personal Finances, Physical Fitness, Political Activism, Science, Sexuality, Social Emotional Learning, Vocational Learning

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child instead of the bureaucracy, through a program which allows parents the freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.
Strongly Agree
Yes, allowing education dollars to follow the child rather than the bureaucracy promotes healthy competition and a merit-based system. This approach ensures that resources are directed to schools and programs that achieve the best outcomes. It gives parents the freedom to choose the best educational setting for their child, whether public, private, or homeschool.
Which should students have: equity of outcomes or equality of opportunities?
Equal opportunities reflect the natural order, akin to planting seeds in a garden where each seed needs equal access to sunlight, water, and nutrients to grow strong. By ensuring equal opportunities, we establish a merit-based system where individuals are rewarded based on their hard work and talents. This approach respects each seed's unique qualities, allowing them to flourish according to their inherent traits. A merit-based system encourages competition, innovation, and personal development,
Which type of written parental consent should be obtained before students are taught courses such as Comprehensive Sex Education (CSE)? (A) Opt-In. (B) Opt-Out. (C) None.
A) It ensures parental consent, prioritizing control and involvement over automatic inclusion.
VALUES
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe in God.
Who is responsible for teaching sexual education to children, and what is the appropriate age when it should be taught?
Sexual education is primarily the responsibility of parents. Educators and healthcare providers should offer informational and curriculum-based resources to support parents in this role. It is essential to provide accurate and age-appropriate information. A structured approach ensures children receive the guidance they need to make informed decisions about their health and relationships. Ideally, sexual education should begin in the adolescent years. Early lessons can focus on the basics of anatomy, puberty, and personal boundaries. As children grow older and their understanding matures, more complex topics such as consent, healthy relationships, contraception, and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) can be introduced. By around 8th grade, students should tackle more challenging subjects, enabling them to navigate their teenage years with confidence and knowledge. A comprehensive and phased approach to sexual education, led by parents, helps ensure that children are well-prepared to make safe and informed choices throughout their lives.
If you support the teaching of Sex Ed, please answer the following question: Sexual education should include these topics (list all that apply and add your own, if needed) -- abortion methods and side effects; abstinence; consent; contraceptive methods; human anatomy/the reproductive system; physical and emotional health outcomes; sex acts and pleasures of sex; sexual orientation and gender identity; stages of pregnancy and fetal development
support sexual education in a limited role with a heavy emphasis on parental inclusion and oversight. Parents should have primary responsibility, with educators and healthcare providers offering informational resources to support parents. Sexual education should include: Human anatomy/the reproductive system Puberty and personal boundaries Consent Contraceptive methods Abstinence Physical and emotional health outcomes Stages of pregnancy and fetal development As students mature, additional topics can be covered with parental consent: Healthy relationships This phased approach ensures children receive accurate and age-appropriate information, respecting parents' role in their education.
Children have a right to reach maturity without chemical or surgical castration, which would damage their healthy bodies through surgeries and may cause a life-long dependence on cross-sex hormones.
Strongly Agree
I strongly agree that children have the right to reach maturity without chemical or surgical castration. These procedures can have significant risks and ethical concerns, particularly when it comes to minors. Damaging healthy bodies through surgeries and causing a life-long dependence on cross-sex hormones can lead to a range of physical and psychological issues. Minors are not fully capable of understanding the long-term consequences of such decisions.
Children have the right to be protected from sexual grooming (including drag shows and explicit materials) in schools and libraries.
Strongly Agree
strongly agree that children have the right to be protected from sexual grooming, including exposure to inappropriate content such as drag shows and explicit materials, in schools and libraries. Ensuring a safe and age-appropriate environment is essential to their well-being and healthy development. It is crucial to prioritize their innocence and create spaces where they can learn and grow without encountering content that is not suitable for their age.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman essential to the formation and sustaining of a civil and prosperous society.
Strongly Agree
Historically, marriage has been essential in providing a structured environment for raising children, ensuring the transmission of values, cultural heritage, and social norms. It has played a critical role in contributing to societal stability and continuity. It's origins are rooted in religion but are not mutually exclusive. That is one can have the benefits of a strong marriage without having religion.
Parents have the fundamental right to raise their child in accordance with their beliefs and values, including the right to make decisions about the child's education and healthcare.
Strongly Agree
I agree that parents have the fundamental right to raise their child according to their beliefs and values, including decisions about education and healthcare. This principle is consistent with the U.S. Constitution, which protects individual rights and freedoms. Ensuring parents' authority in these matters supports their role in guiding their child's development and well-being within the framework of their family's values and principles.
Parents should have full and timely access to any and all records, including school and medical records, associated with their minor children.
Strongly Agree
Parents have the fundamental right to raise their child in accordance with their beliefs and values, including the right to make decisions about the child's education and healthcare.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Agree
Requiring photo identification for voting is a critical measure to ensure election integrity and fairness. Allowing voting without photo ID opens the door to potential fraud, such as impersonation and double voting, compromising the accuracy of election results. Photo ID helps verify the identity of each voter, maintaining the legitimacy of the electoral process. Without this safeguard, the risk of unfair elections increases and eroding public trust.
EQUALITY
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
From a safety perspective, it's crucial to maintain separate spaces for biological males and females. Allowing biological males to participate in women's sports or occupy women's spaces, such as bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prisons, poses physical and psychological risks. These spaces are designed to provide safety, privacy, and comfort to biological women, and maintaining this separation helps create a secure environment for everyone.

2ND AMENDMENT
Faculty who are licensed to carry and have had ongoing training should be allowed to carry guns at school in order to respond to an active shooter situation.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
In the event of a pandemic, school districts can mandate whatever health precautions they deem necessary (including masks and vaccines) to protect students and staff.
Strongly Disagree
While health precautions are important during a pandemic, parental rights should also be respected. Parents should have a say in health decisions for their children, including the use of masks and vaccines. This approach ensures that measures are tailored to individual needs and values, while still prioritizing the safety and well-being of students and staff. Balancing health protocols with parental input fosters a cooperative and respectful environment.
