RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

I am a practicing Catholic and I am pro-life.

Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Strongly Agree

If allowed by law, chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards and should not be administered without medical consultation. Reports should be required to track reactions and other outcomes to ensure womens health is protected.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

The right to private property and free enterprise are essential to every element of our society and our Republic. Without those elements, we will fail.

What is your position on the minimum wage?

A minimum wage that is artifically placed too high will displace workers in many service jobs. Many entry level jobs will (and have) disappear. Most entry level opportunities are not meant to provide a living wage.

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

No

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

I cannot envision any circumstances where the government has the right to close a church.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

Generally, government should not play a role in healthcare. However, Medicade and Medicare should remain available.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

Government should not mandate vacccinations and should only recommend vaccines or other treatments that meet standards and testing to ensure safety.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

The CCP, in addition to other Communist countries, pose a real threat to the United States and other free countries. They employ a serious military threat but also threats to the economy, intellectual property and cyber security.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Our country's relationship with Israel serves both diplomatic and strategic purposes, but the relationship also transcends those purposes as our common bonds unite us in so many ways.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

Both the Southern border and Northern border must be protected from foreign invasion. In addition, port security should be enhanced to prevent illegal drugs and other elements from entering the country.

EDUCATION

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.

Strongly Agree

Tax dollars should follow the child, allowing parents to choose where, how and by whom their children should be educated. This provides more freedom, allowing any child to attend private schools, not just the elite. Competition will improve public schools as well.

VALUES

Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.

Strongly Agree

Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.

Strongly Agree

Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.

Strongly Disagree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

The definition of marriage should not be altered to conform to a secular view or to include other alternative legal relationships that do not recognize marriage as a spiritual bond between a man and woman.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

My spiritual beliefs can be summed up as follows: My purpose is to know God, love God and serve God. Everything else flows from that.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

Photo ID is readily available and needed for most basic functions in society. There should be a national holiday to allow and promote voting and mail-in ballots should be eliminated, except in rare cases where warranted or for the military.

States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.

Strongly Disagree

The Electorial College was designed to protect the divergent interests of the various states. Without the Electorial College, a few large cities would control the direction of the country. The Electorial College protects us from tyranny that could devolop in a Democracy vs the Republic designed in the Constitution.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Racism is unacceptale. Each person is a unique creation from God and racist attitudes detract from His plan.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

To look at institutions or history strictly through a lens of race, eliminates truth. The main arguments of CRT are derived from the theories of Marx, namely the existance of an oppressor and an oppressed class. CRT is fundamentally flawed and detracts from the promise that our country brings.

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.

Laws and regulations must only be enacted on the basis of accomplishing specifc objectives and include a way to measure their effectiveness. Regulations that do not accomplish the objective must be adjusted or eliminated in order to prevent perpetual programs that accomplish little or nothing at the expense of citizens.

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

Demands for electricty are increasing and are quickly outpacing the ability to keep pace. We must continue to utilize additional sources of power, especially natural gas and even clean cole. Innovation is key to replace fossil fuels in the future.

ABOUT YOU

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

The purpose of government is to provide for the common defense and to protect freedom and liberty of the citizens as guaranteed in the Constitution. On the local level, government can function to provide citizens with necessities that can only be provided by a certain level of cooperation; utilities, roads, police and fire protection.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

On a personal level, I am Conserative in my personal beliefs and outlook on life. In terms of governance, an elected official has the duty to represent all of the constituents and uphold the law of the land while protecting the rights of all. The basis for change is seldom change in law, but moreover, change in society comes about when the hearts and minds of the people are united.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

Strongly Disagree

There is a balance between funding police and community programs. There is a basic function to govenment which police are a top priority. Police must be trained and funded and allowed to perform their duties. Criminals need to be held accountable and victim's rights need to be prioritized. We continue to recognize rights of the accused, as well. Community programs need a specific, measurable objective and if they fail to meet their goals, they must be reevaluated.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I am a supporter of the Second Amendment.

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

Community Service Officers should be present in schools to deal with potential safety issues. They should be fully trained, equipped and armed. At the same time, teachers have a constitutional right to carry firearms and if they are trained in gun safety and have the competency to act as an additional safeguard to children in school, they can provide an additional level of security.
