QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

I say this with conviction: women must be treated equally in the eyes of the law, and fully enabled to make their own decisions about how they choose to live their lives. My wife, my daughters, my sisters must not be treated as if they have less rights than me, a man. The government should not be dictating what, when, and how women make the difficult choice to undergo an abortion or to have a child, for any reason. In my view, eliminating abortion care, eliminating reproductive care, is equivale

Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Strongly Agree

I feel that Medical consultation is essential to ensure all proper and legal standards are being met. Regarding reporting, this would follow true to HIPAA guidelines in keeping the individual's information private and under certain conditions, record the results for use in record keeping for research purposes.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Agree

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Agree

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Agree

What is your position on the minimum wage?

Minimum wage should be at a level that provides a base living standard and not fall into the poverty levels we see know. This includes Social Security.

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

No

This should not be the sole criteria but could be part of a larger set of criteria based on the goals of the investment.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

This is a complex question as I believe in the separation of church and state which means that one would have a clear definition of church. If I am ordained as a Minister, and use my home as the church building, am I really a church?

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Agree

Businesses are created to serve the general public. As such, there should be no discrimination as to what individuals will be served. Private businesses like a member only club could in theory and often do exclude Individuals from participating and receiving services they provide.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

I feel that the requirement should be established and enforced based on the level of risk presented from non-vaccination. For example, in the Medial field where there is exposure to viruses, etc. and risk to the public at large.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Agree

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

It is important in maintaining a strong presence in the reason. I do however, feel that Israel has gone over the line in relation to the bombing and should have focused on ground penetration to find and extract Hamas, without killing the number of civilians and helpless children.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Neutral

EDUCATION

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.

Disagree

Grater investment must be made in the public school system not private schools. Tax dollars are to be use for the benefit of the residents of the state, and not to enrich the private sector. If a private school is the parents' choice, they should pay for it out of their pocket not taxpayer pockets, like my parents had to do when I was in elementary school.

VALUES

Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.

Disagree

Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.

Agree

Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.

Disagree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian believing in the New Testament and not a combination of old and new for the purpose of designed messaging. I follow or try to follow the teachings of Jesus to love all, accept, all, hurt no one, and help them recognize and serve the Father.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Disagree

Unless biometric identification methods are used, photo ID is a more secure way to validate the voter than no method at all.

States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.

Agree

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Racism is unacceptable under any circumstances and is a threat to society as a whole.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Disagree

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Disagree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.

B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

Nuclear is my first choice as it generates power but also delivers hydrogen as a by-product., New technology in nuclear is proving to be more secure, safer, more modular, and an overall greener option than fossil fuels.

ABOUT YOU

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

Support the general population through standardized governance, financial aid, establishing methods and means to maintain a healthy and productive life.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Lean Liberal

I believe I am a fiscal conservative who leans toward the liberal side when it comes to socialized services, especially for children and the elderly.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

Disagree

I believe that we need to increase investment in both as a concerted effort to address the holistic issues faced in these areas.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

No automatic or semi-automatic rifles, large capacity ammo clips, bump stocks, or rapidfire devices. We need to develop better programs related to mental health and anger control. We need to enforce the laws we have and charge not only shooters but the actual gun owner as at minimum, an accessory in shooting events.

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

No
