What is a sheriff’s authority and responsibility regarding illegal aliens?
The Sheriff has a lot of discretion in how they cooperate with ICE regarding illegal aliens. This includes how they police, and whether they work with ICE to transfer people into immigration detention. The Sheriff also has the authority to arrest illegal immigrants who violate criminal provisions of the Immigration and Nationality Act.
Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.

I believe that parents should be able to speak at school board meetings that are open to the public.

Invest in non-custodial alternatives to detention both pre-trail and post sentencing. Diverting minor cases out of the criminal justice system. Investing in long-term strategies for crime prevention and reduction and reducing high rates of pre-trial detention by improving access to justice.

I believe that the restrictions we have in place are sufficient. The more restrictions you place on gun ownership the faster they will go to the black market.
