Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
I do not think any abortion should be elective. In the event of mother's or baby's health, the doctor must do what is best to save the life of both, but sometimes, in rare circumstances the difficult choice must be made to save the life that is the most viable to continue living.
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

ECONOMY
What is your position on the minimum wage?
I am a proponent of the free market and the free market should dictate what people are paid. Creating an arbitrary minimum wage hurts both business owners and consumers.
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

It is key to our Republic and a driver of a strong economy. Every time governments get involved, free enterprise is stymied and we become less productive.
List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.
We need to limit the size of government however and wherever we can. The more government, the less freedom. Healthcare and welfare seems to be rife with fraud and abuse and should be looked over very carefully. In addition, our schools are not lacking in education dollars, but there seems to be way more administrative staff than ever before...it's time to look at every single school to see what makes sense and what should be cut. Schools need to stop threatening teaching staff with cuts!
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
First off, this is a false premise. Nowhere is this ever in the US Constitution! What the Constitution states is that the Government shall not create a national church, such as the Church of England. It does not mean at all that the Church should not be involved in government. The reason for many of our social issues is that the church swallowed the dogma that people of faith should not be involved in politics and so the Church has taken a back seat for too long, and society has thus declined.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

No one should ever be forced to violate their faith and what the Bible says "Do not do"! It always seems that the Christian faith is what is attacked in this regard. Whether it is an artist, musician, baker, doctor or plumber, the person or business should be able to stand on their faith without being sued or destroyed.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
Though I feel that everything that government creates or manages becomes more costly than what private companies or organizations can do, it is unrealistic to think that we should abolish Medicaid and Medicare! However, I do feel there needs to be drastic reforms to make both sustainable. ACA/Obamacare however, should be abolished and returned to the states and again become totally separate from the government with safeguards put in place for those with health issues to guarantee accessibility.
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Yes. I find this a strange question for a state candidate survey. Though I am conflicted on my views on the "State" Israel, the Biblical Israel are God's chosen people and should be honored. I believe most of what we hear regarding the atrocities that Israel is performing are false and propaganda designed to destroy them.

I am for state and local control of schools! Standards can be set by the States and even the Federal Government, but ultimately control should rest with the parents and school boards. Since Pres. Carter started the Education Department, our overall learning and student achievement has significantly decreased.

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Shall not be infringed is pretty clear. However, felons should not be allowed to have guns. But, if a criminal wants to get a gun they will...no amount of laws will stop a criminal in this case.
