QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
Given that many Americans consider abortion to be murder, I consider it inappropriate to force them to fund the practice through their tax dollars.
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.
Neutral
I don't see a role for the federal government in matters relating to abortion. As a candidate for federal office, I have no position regarding this question.
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
Again, this is a matter that should be addressed at the state level. I am generally opposed to the practice of abortion, but do not advocate its legal prohibition. As a society, we should strive to avoid unwanted pregnancies.
Does the federal government have a role to play in limiting abortion, and if so what federal steps and/or federal legislation would you support?
With the overturning of Roe v. Wade by the Supreme Court, abortion policy is now a matter for the states. As a candidate for U.S. Congress, I see no role for the federal government.
ECONOMY
What actions would you take that would allow Americans to retain more of their income and wealth?
We need to make big cuts in federal spending and balance the budget. Stop inflating the money supply, which causes price inflation, which is a hidden tax that hits middle and working class people the hardest.
Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.
Strongly Agree
The entire federally-guaranteed student loan program, which traps our young people in debt servitude for the benefit of the bankers, should be abolished.
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
No
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
It means just what is stated in the First Amendment: government shall not establish an official religion, nor shall it prohibit the free exercise of religion. It does not mean that people are not allowed to pray on public property or display the Ten Commandments, etc.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
Business transactions should take place on the basis of voluntary relations between the parties concerned.
HEALTHCARE
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
Government should not coerce people into having vaccinations.
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
This is a complicated issue and I do not claim to have an easy answer, but in general, I think we should move away (perhaps slowly and incrementally) from federal government involvement in provision of medical care.
NATIONAL SECURITY
With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.
C or D come closest to my views. We should defend the U.S. against attack. We should stop the assassinations, coups and regime-change operations being carried out by the U.S. government around the world. We've allowed our government to be hijacked by a large network of self-interested persons (a.k.a. military-industrial-congressional complex) who want to control the world according to their globalist ideology while increasing their wealth and power at the expense of the American people.
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Disagree
Chinese competition may pose a challenge to the wealth and power of our ruling elite (military-industrial-congressional complex) but not to the American people. The MICC, which strongly influences or controls our corporate news media, entertainment industry, academic institutions and nonprofits, as well as big business in general, works overtime to create enemies and threats where none actually exist. By instilling fear in the American people, they can more easily tax and control us.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
It's important to many Americans who are supportive of Israel, but should not determine U.S. policy. Given our $35 TRILLION federal debt, we need a moratorium on all foreign economic and military aid. This moratorium should include payments and weapons for Israel and Ukraine.
What are the causes of decline in U.S. military recruitment and retention?
Woke policies in the military, along with the growing realization that the American military is mainly a tool for world domination for the benefit of the globalist ruling elite, not for the benefit of the American people.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Congress has been derelict in its responsibility to reform immigration laws. We need to make it easier for people to come to America who are law-abiding and productive, and who want to contribute to the well-being of our constitutional republic and embrace its values. Criminals should be excluded.
EDUCATION
I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.
Strongly Agree
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Strongly Agree
I don't think it's just a coincidence that the dumbing-down of America has coincided with the increasing role of government in education. Our ruling elite needs a large class of submissive, compliant modern day serfs who will work, pay taxes and not ask questions.
VALUES
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Agree
I agree, but same-sex couples should have the opportunity to enter into domestic partnerships or civil unions that provide analogous benefits to those enjoyed in traditional marriages.
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.
Agree
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
A healthy society requires a solid moral foundation. Historically, such foundations have been provided by a number of religious traditions. Western civilization developed on the moral foundation provided by the Christian faith. (This is not to denigrate those who identify with other faiths or with no faith.) We now see a movement underway to stigmatize and marginalize Christians and Christianity, which is a very dangerous phenomenon, in my opinion. It inevitably leads to the abolition of the dignity of the human person and ultimately to mass murder, as we observe in the histories of the atheist regimes of Soviet Russia and Communist China, and in the neo-pagan regime of Nazi Germany. Personally, I identify with the Eastern Orthodox Church.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Disagree
Our democratic republican form of government demands honest elections. Not only do we need honest elections, but the people must be CONFIDENT in the integrity of our elections. Photo ID is a reasonable tool to help ensure that only qualified voters are voting. We should also do away with all forms of machine and computer voting, which can be fraudulently rigged by those in power, in favor of the time-tested simplicity and transparency of the paper ballot.
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
The founding fathers adroitly balanced the need for majority rule with the need to protect the rights of the minority. The Electoral College has worked well and should not be abolished.
EQUALITY
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Agree
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.
Disagree
Climate change is an indisputable fact— the climate of the planet has been changing for millions of years. Throughout geologic history, temperatures have risen and fallen, sea levels have risen and fallen, atmospheric levels of oxygen and carbon dioxide have risen and fallen. I'm not convinced that these phenomena are caused by human activity.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Nuclear power appears to be our best option at this time.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Choose not to answer
Libertarian Conservative
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
To provide for national defense, to protect citizens from criminals, to establish statutes and courts to resolve disputes. In short, to defend the rights of the people.
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No
JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY
The Supreme Court should be reformed to include more seats.
Disagree
I don't see a benefit in enlarging the Supreme Court.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.
Disagree
Without law and order, society collapses and the people suffer. We need police. We should do more to insure that our police officers are temperamentally suited for the job, so that friction and ill-will between police and citizenry can be reduced . This may require more training and evaluation of prospective officers. This may require higher salaries for officers. We should look at repealing victimless crime laws and at non-custodial sanctions for nonviolent offenders.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Reasonable measures to keep guns away from violently criminal or psychotic persons. Depriving a person of the right to keep and bear arms should be a matter of judicial due process, not a bureaucratic decision.
