QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
My belief is that government does not belong in our personal lives, bedrooms, or doctor's offices. Thus, as a legislator, I would never enact policy to restrict any person's personal freedoms, male or female.
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.
Choose not to answer
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
The government should not intrude into our personal or religious lives at all, much less close churches.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Choose not to answer
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Agree
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
B. We should have free basic healthcare for all citizens along with private pay options.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Agree
What is your position on the minimum wage?
Wages have not kept up with inflation. We are about 20 years behind. Corporations have paid off our elected officials in order to loosen regulations and protect the companies over the workers. Minimum wage should be increased.
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
Choose not to answer
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Agree
EDUCATION
The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.
Agree
However, massive oversight and accountability are needed to ensure proper allocation of funds.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.
Disagree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
In order to protect our schools and places of worship, I think we can put common sense, basic regulations in place that would not hinder current and responsible gun owners, but instead, make it harder for criminals, and emotionally unstable persons from accessing weapons to hurt someone. Some easy practices to enact could be universal background checks for every gun sale, show or private, & a 3 day waiting period upon sale to mitigate crimes of passion. That does not hurt responsible gun owners.
Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
No
Guns do not belong anywhere near a school or children.
ABOUT YOU
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
To protect the people! Not invade our personal lives and tell us how to live.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Moderate
I dislike labels, thus why I am an Independent, not a sheep to be groomed by parties, donors, corporations, or special interest billionaires. I have populist ideas. Ideas and solutions that don't cater to a right or left wing agenda, but that benefits all the people, and thus popular.
VALUES
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.
Strongly Disagree
Again. Let's stop the propaganda. No one is teaching kids to be gay or trans, etc. No one is "grooming" children, And No one is mutilating children's genitals. Now that is said, of course we protect our children from all threats. These examples just aren't the threats, it right-wing talking points to demonize democrats, take away authority from teachers, and gain control of our school system.
Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.
Agree
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Disagree
Stop. That is not currently happening so let's not add to propaganda.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Disagree
Right off the bat, that is incorrect. In 2015, the United States Supreme Court ruled in Obergefell v. Hodges that the 14th Amendment's Equal Protection Clause that guarantees same-sex couples the right to marry. The court ruled that states must recognize same-sex marriages and license marriages between same-sex couples, and that states must also recognize marriages that were lawfully performed out of state. Therefore, this has already been decided by the highest courts in the land.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe in God and pray to Him daily. I also love Jesus. Not just for carrying the burden of our sins and dying on the cross for us, but for his teachings of loving your neighbor, showing humility, and being kind to others. We should all strive to act Christ-like and show our love, grace, empathy, humility, and acceptance towards all of our God-given brothers and sisters.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
You must have proper identification.
States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.
Neutral
The electoral college is outdated, corrupted, and inefficient.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Racism a threat to domestic security? No. But it does and has played a role in societal inequality pertaining to jobs, housing, credit, etc.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Disagree
Not fundamentally. We simply have to acknowledge the racism both in our past and currently in our society today. Then work together to get stigmas and stereotypes out of our society and governance so that we may become ONE PEOPLE, AMERICANS, not divided or categorized by color, but simply all categorized as Americans.
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Agree
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.
Let's be clear on two things: 1. Climate change is real, we are messing up this planet. 2. Stricter environmental laws/regulations help protect US, the people from breathing polluted air, drinking contaminated water, etc. Remember lead? It does not cost jobs, that is simply corporate messaging propaganda, because they want to keep making record profits instead of having to pay to properly dispose of their waste, emissions, etc.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
