QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.
Strongly Agree
That includes wrongful deaths, equitable health care, housing affordability, quality food options, and access to economic resources to provide self sustainability.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Disagree
Tax payers pays the salary of people who doesn't believe in equality, democracy, or a woman's right to choose. Surely, taxpayer funds can go to quality Health Care for ALL.
ECONOMY
I support using taxpayer funds to lobby the state legislature and/or U.S. Congress.
Agree
Subject matter experts get paid for every job performed. Advocating and lobbying is no different.
It is the responsibility of city government to provide subsidized housing at taxpayer expense.
Strongly Agree
City Government has an oath to make life's necessities available to all residents. Housing is a life necessity.
Property taxes should be abolished.
Disagree
I believe in investing in our economy and property taxes is a way for everyone to add to the economic health.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Government should not discriminate against individuals, organizations, or business owners who affirm marriage as between one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
I don't believe it's not government's place to decide on one's personal life choice for a spouse. The freedom of choice applies to All.
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
Religious liberty is enshrined in the text of our Constitution and in numerous federal statutes. It encompasses the right of all Americans to exercise their religion freely, without being coerced to join an established church or to satisfy a religious test as a qualification for public office.
IMMIGRATION
City officials should have the right to proclaim their city a sanctuary city for illegal aliens.
Disagree
I believe in equity and equality, and if city officials have the ability to proclaim their city a sanctuary city for illegal aliens then they would also have the right to deny providing a sanctuary city. Human Services is for All Humans not just one demographic of humans.
VALUES
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
As an ordained Evangelist, I believe in the Word of God and the Power of Jesus Christ. I believe Holiness is still right even though we all still fall short everyday. I believe we are called the live by God's words, teach God's word, but we are not called to judge those that choose differently. We all have an account to give on our day of judgement and I'm sure it won't be a multi-person conference call.
Children have the right to be protected from sexually explicit materials in publicly funded libraries, including school libraries.
Strongly Agree
I believe parents have the right to protect their children from any hurt, harm, or danger and that includes exposure to sexually explicit materials.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Agree
I believe a voter's registration number could be assigned at the time of registering to vote when verification could be provided the same as a driver's license or state identification card. The UID could only be used to vote once. Voting is private and I shouldn't need to complete extra steps to exercise my rights.
All filings by candidates for municipal office, including ballot application and campaign finance reports, should be available for public online access on the city website within 24 hours of filing deadline.
Neutral
Ballot measures which include bond issues should fully disclose both the potential tax rate increase and actual monetary increase for the average single family residence.
Strongly Agree
I believe most people don't understand how bonds are paid for and that monetary requirement it will place of residents.
EQUALITY
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Agree
I believe if a person choses to transition to become another gender, the accommodation should be providing them the spaces of those of the same transition whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) instruction should be required for all city employees.
Strongly Agree
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Taxpayers should subsidize green initiatives such as electric vehicle charging stations.
Neutral
