What role should the school serve in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy?
A school should serve as a warm, caring environment to its students. Challenging situations require tenderness from the faculty, as well as confidentiality. While the school should have no say in how the families of the minor children should handle the situation, the parents of the minor children should be informed.
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?
Our democracy depends on an educated voter base and our economy depends on a skilled workforce. Therefore, the public school's core business needs to ensure that its students are academically educated in reading, writing, and arithmetic. This does require funding.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Teachers should be required to instruct students on mandated curriculum even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Moral and religious beliefs are deeply personal. Teachers in opposition to certain components of the curriculum should be protected by the First Amendment.
EDUCATION
Abortion and gender transitioning providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.

Students need disciplinary boundaries, positive behavior incentives and high expectations in order to learn and feel safe at school. Teachers need to be able to manage their classrooms to maximize learning which requires routines, procedures and rules with the support of an active, caring administration.

I believe ALL students are capable of excellence and scholastic achievement in a merit based system. We need to meet ALL learners where they are and build them up academically while providing equal opportunity as opposed to artificially creating equal outcomes or "equity". Our job as educators is to help students reach their full potential by capitalizing on strengths and cultivating a sense of personal pride that comes with accomplishment.
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

All books should be age and developmentally appropriate for students in the public school library. No books should be present that are so graphic or vulgar that they cannot be read aloud in school board meetings.

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child instead of the bureaucracy, through a program which allows parents the freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.

A free market approach would encourage the public schools to become competitive again. If a school is not meeting the needs of a child, or if a child is falling in with the wrong crowd, why shouldn’t the parent(s) be able to find a more suitable school regardless of socioeconomic status? Families with substantial income already have that advantage.

I am Christian. As for my values, the Founding Fathers expressed it best in the Declaration of Independence, "We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."
Children have a right to reach maturity without chemical or surgical castration, which would damage their healthy bodies through surgeries and may cause a life-long dependence on cross-sex hormones.

Sexual education has changed in nature over the years and needs complete review in both content and age appropriateness.
